having seen Wednesdays I had them pegged as a bunch of Sell Outs who were just playing for the contractually obliged hour + encore. Thursday, however, changed that. I don't know what was wrong with them on Wednesday but Thursday, what with the David Lovering Experience, was very special.
it was nice to see them having fun and having a laugh. highlights being the mistakes - Charles misreading the setlist and Kim taking the piss out of him for once for starting Gouge Away instead of Is She Weird, and Charles having the last laugh because the chords are the same - the Vamos solo lasting as long as Kim can smoke a cigarette without removing it from her mouth and without the ash dropping (pretty impressive, though she's had enough practice over the years) for that they did the Joey guitar is centre of stage act again and Joey tried to have a cigarette himself, only couldn't get it to light with matches, burnt his fingers and had Kim taking the piss from across the stage - they looked to be having fun. :)
still, not as good as the Catholics at Shepherds Bush last year though...

I'm gutted that Jo, Benji and The Clopser were all there and I didn't see any of ya. Typical.
I think, from what I hear, the magic is all stuff that he's done before - glowing pickles, vortex cannon, Malibu meteorite, etc. It was brilliant, the guy's a showman.

Just looked on nme.com, turns out The Ravonettes (big stars eh?), the Buzzcocks, Badly Drawn Boy and Terry Hall of the Specials, were all watching Thursday night.

I am clearly a fool. You'd think with the amount of time I spend on this forum I'd have spotted that.
