I heard Debaser on K-Rock yesterday and I was amazed cause ive never heard pixies on NY radio. Also does anyone think that indie's getting more into the mainstream? Bands like Modest Mouse and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are doing awsome on radio

nah, the industry is just trying to find stuff that doesn't completely suck, and the only reason they're playing pixies is cause they're one of the hottest tours going on, they're just jumping on the bandwagon, i live in NY and hate krock. bah humbug |

hatred aside, wxrk playing good music for a change is a good thing. maybe some kid will hear debaser and get turned onto FB. I've been addicted to air america lately. maybe i should give it a rest and start listening to more music again.

I lived in Boston for a while, and one of the loveliest things about it was their regular airing of Pixies and early FB numbers. More than once my alarm clock woke me with La La Love You! Hell even bar bands were covering Here Comes Yr Man. And all my Boston friends knew "Headache" and "Los Angeles," which just about blew my mind.Beantown seemed very loyal. |

[/quoteWell, we're talking about people who have been dragging out their Boston Red Sox wedding dress since, what, 1918? Loyal, stubborn, sick, stuck? I think Bostonians are still upset about the internal combustion engine, let alone the Yankees.] |
