I'll be going to Saturday's show. Having never been to the Brixton, can someone recommend what time I should get there? We're up in the balcony, and would like to get good seats (I'm old, that why I went for seats). Ticket says doors open at 7pm, is this likely?
Any input? I'd rather sit around bored for an hour than have a bad view for the show.
Thanks, Paul |

Sounds about right - why, are you worried they might open earlier? There are several boozers very close to the Academy so if you err on the side of early you shouldn't be too inconvenienced. |

ace!
what are people wearing? i don't want to wear my 'death to' t-shirt, as it's a bit cliché and everyone will be wearing one... what about my frank black & the catholics t-shirt? or is that a bit inapropriate?

It depends how many people are in your group and what you call a good seat. If other popular shows at Brixton are anything to go by I am pretty sure that there will be a queue half way around the venue by 7:00 the opening time and it will take about 20 minute for that queue to get through the doors. Most of the queue will be heading downstairs but also the first few rows of the Circle will get taken, and sometimes the front row of seats are reserved for special guests etc anyway. So if you go along at 7:00 with a group of four you probably get through the doors and into a seat around 20 past and you will likely end up in the 6th row or so. If there is only 2 of you you may be able to find a pair of seats in the 3rd or 4th row or so. Obviously the earlier you start queuing the nearer the front you will be but I would not like to hazard a guess what time you would have to start queuing to get on the 1st row. |

I was wondering about this. I was probly going to go for something more non-descript. Maybe a flannel shirt.
