I'll pick up the new Best Of only if the songs are remastered. Probably not. Doesn't seem like the Pixies albums are ever going to be remastered. I mean, they just rereleased them last year and didn't bother to do anything with them then. Death to the Pixies is the closest the recordings have come to reaching their full sonic capabilities. Even though I saw nothing about there being a remastering, Death to the Pixies always sounded a lot better than any of the studio albums. Just listen to Dig For Fire from Death To... and then listen to Bossanova. BIG difference.
But yeah, if the Wave of Mutilation Best Of CD has tracks that have more punch and push to them, I'm all for it. Once that "Hey" thing gets corrected, of course.

Why does this long strand of haha's always happen with people?

I need to get ahold of the vinyl copies of those albums. Supposedly, they sound 10 times better than the CDs.

No, IIRC, they weren't ever on Elektra. I'm pretty sure the first five albums and the B-Sides album were released on 4AD and the non-CoP songs on the Purple Tape was released on SpinArt as "Pixies". |
