What? His beard in his speedo?
Where is it you're growing your "beard" then, Cheeseman?

well obviously mrcheese is quite excited about having finally reached puberty at the age of 21, so he's making up for lost time in the only way plausible.

Looking back, I can see why that reads funny... I am growing my beard on my face, regular style, nowhere else. Nowhere.

glad to see this thread still alive :) thanks again for the well wishes everyone.
i'm in Santa Fe now, eating ridiculously spicy Mexican food every meal. on road trip with girl-e. we're housesitting at her parents friends place in Santa Fe, who apparantly have a LOT of money.. this is the pretend-to-be-rich-and-famous-even-though-you're-not weekend getaway. in vegas we stayed in a NICE suite at the Bellagio and ate at Nobu Sushi (compliments of my girl's company .. she was there for a work convention that ended, conveniently, on my birthday wednesday so it was all paid for by them.. YES!) now we've got this Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous house we're staying at in the desert. no complaints here. (except losing miserably at black jack - i don't discuss amounts).
anyway, a good time is being had..
ps. Frank Black rules for road trips through the Southwest (not that you didn't know that). especially Black Letter Days and DITS.
and Yellow album. and TOTY. and FB&C's self-titled. |

What? Didn't you play the numbers I gave you for roulette? Sheesh! Try and be generous, and look where it gets you...;)
Sounds like a grand time, floop. I'm extremely jealous. Oh well, back to cutting the mosquito-infested 3.5 acres and fishing tadpoles out of our pool cover.

I will crank The Orange Album in your honor.
Wouldn't it be more honourable to refer to it as "the yellow album"?
And floop - is it true that you're normally very serious (i.e. not sarcastic, rarely joking)? |

happy birthday floops
may your dreams come true
I keep feeling like people are just looking at screens and web sites all the time, but do they ever do anything? Or go out and say anything to anyone? I'm not so sure anymore. |

back from road trip and i'm leaving this weekend on another trip. i figure i may as well avoid reality as long as i can.
Santa Fe was amazing. EXCELLENT spicy Mexican food (Southwestern style), tequila, mountains, apsen trees, cacti, adobe buildings, oooold Old West history.. i love the desert.
i was truly blown away by the food though. i get excellent Mexican food here in LA, but in New Mexico it's a distinct Southwestern style that's very particular to New Mexico (not to be confused with TexMex). almost everything is served with red or green chile (grown locally and freshly roasted), this stuff called "posole" that's like a spicy stew made from corn, and these side pastries called "sopapillas" which is this fried bread that you put honey on, and eat with chile. you have to taste it to understand. i think i've put on 10 pounds. every meal i had was amazing.
also, if you ever go there, you have to check out this place called 10,000 waves http://www.tenthousandwaves.com/ which is this Japanese health spa / bath house thing that is amazingly affordable. you can get a private tub for like 30 dollars an hour (per person). you can't believe this place. it's incredible.. (check out the tubs there). can't recommend it enough.. and, it's kind of romantic and shit. if you're looking for that.
anyway, now i have the flu and i'm dealing with nicotine withdrawal (quit smoking), but other than that all is well. not that you asked.
thanks again for the b-day props. (if i keep posting here, it'll still feel like it's my birthday).
(ps. Icecream, who told you that? no, i'd say i'm a complusive smart-ass in real life too. but i can also be very serious about some things. why do you ask?)
(pps. i actually do have a photo of me in a speedo, but the likelihood of me posting it is about the same as the likelihood of Frank and the Catholics playing a private show in my apartment) |
