I don't know...for some reason I've always associated puffins with penguins..they just remind me of them a lot. Do you see why I think they look like penguins...or am I a crazy bastard? I think it might be their eyes their colors. Who knows.

i will always associate puffins with Puffin's cereal, which is named after the bird. they sell it at places like Trader Joes and Whole Foods.. some people don't like it. i happen to think the honey rice variety is pretty good.
i just got into an argument the other day about puffins (the cereal) with a friend who HATES puffins.
we are no longer friends. |

| The birds are cute. The cereal is good. My kid prefers the cinnamon Puffins, but I like the regular ones. Quaker used to make an identical cereal called first "Corn Bran" and then "Crunchy Bran," but alas, no more. Maybe they abandoned its manufacture after realizing that their stupid scarecrow mascot was nowhere near as cute as a puffin. |

Penguins and puffins are both black and white and both eat fish, but one flies and the other doesn't & one lives in the southern hemisphere and the other the northern. So, you're a crazy bastard.

yeah, i don't know what Quaker was thinking.. i wouldn't consider their scarecrow mascot very kid friendly:
