Unless something comes up (and hopefully it will), the next concert I will be attending is The Decemberists show in Madison, WI sometime in early April. I have tickets but am too lazy to go find the exact date. :)

I want to answer the vocal question too, because I typed out a long response and then was having technical difficulties which kept me from posting. My favorite vocal track that I can think of right now is Exit Music (For a Film) by Radiohead. Thom Yorke's voice in this song makes me feel cold, warm, melancholy, and comforted all at once. It is so good. If I have to pick just a moment or 30, pretty much everytime Neko Case sings a verse or chorus on The New Pornographers' two albums works for me.

What is the most that you've paid to go to a concert before and who?

I think it was David Bowie, tickets were something like 50 Canadian dollars. I don't go to gigs when tickets are too expensive and have missed a lot of great gigs this way.

Q: Name a band you could have seen cause they came to your town, but you were too lazy or didn't know them at the time, and now you feel stupid for not having been to the gig.

[edit: that was the answer to the ticket prices question. Funniest gig: Les Wampas, the best French punk band ever]

Kings of Leon played Brimingham Carling Academy on a night my friend and I were out but she didn't want to see them because she didn't know them. The next week she got the album and loved it and kicked herself.

There's been loads I've missed because the people I know are too apathetic to get their arse out of their house. It annoys me.

I missed Mark Lanegan Band (to be fair I didn't know they were playing)

But the WORST was when my dad and I went to see tears for fears when I was a kid and couldn't be bothered to see the support act.. who were... Radiohead. Gutted.

Ever crowdsurfed?

Funniest gig: Clam Abuse @ Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth

Denis's, I guess Therapy? and the Yo-Yo's in Southampton is the only one I can think of.

What is the absolute, most finest gig you have ever seen?

Pixies at V festival. Even better than at Brixton (with the added bonus - for me- of The Strokes playing a blinding set afterwards). Interpol at Manchester Academy last December if we are not counting the Pixies.

What is the worst gig you have ever been to?

I went to Oxford to see mansun and waited outside in the rain for an hour only to find out the gig had been cancelled because the venue had flooded and fucked over the electrics. Thats the worst.

Crowdsurfing question again.

Yeah, I crowdsurf when the band is OK with it (and the audience too...).

Ever crowdsurfed and fell on your ass or on your head cause everyone stepped away at the last moment?

I lost a shoe once...that sucked. It was also the middle of winter. But I remember one concert where, at the end, I met this dude and we spent about an hour playing hockey with empty crushed beer cans on the ground while waiting for the crowd to disperse. I know that has nothing to do with the clothes question...so sue me.

Did you ever hang out with the band after a concert?

A friend of mine lost a shoe at a gig once. He was given it back at the end though, it was quite surreal.

I've hung out with a band before the concert, in an interview-esque situation, but I'm not the groupie type.

Favourite gig venue, and why (because most of us won't know it)

probably McCabes Guitar Shop, in Santa Monica. only because i've seen Frank / Black Francis there many times and it's a unique venue. very very small and intimate. just a back room with a stage and a bunch of steel folding chairs. it's got a special place in my heart. so many good shows.
