Again, something I borrowed from the Elvis Costello board (and may I say, they are all just so NICE to each other over there!) - basically it works like, someone asks a question and the next person comes in to answer and ask a question of their own.
(And, not to be a bitch, but can we keep to the topic? It bums me out when we go all mental and start calling each other out. That could just be ME though... )
So, my question - do you believe in life after death?

Huh? Um, the questions should not confuse me!
Well, I believe in living ones life to the fullest, if that is what you mean.
Oh, I get to ask another question! (then I will sit out for a bit)
What is your favorite time of year and why?

Doh, I actually meant to say life before birth. You know I wouldn't try to confuse you on purpose... I like the summer, simply cos its hot. You can go for a walk in the park, or sit outside at the pub. Its just lovely.
Whats the best place you've ever visited? And why.

I hoping one of our well-traveled boardies would answer.
-
Lynchburg, VA.
Wife and I set out to wander west from the coast of VA. When we came to an intersection we played rock-paper-scissors to determine whether we'd go left, right or straight on.
We spent three days all over the mountains, but kept winding up in Lynchburg, VA.
I've kinda grown attached to it. We've actually been drawn there in wanderin's since.

Do you have children? Accidentally or intentionally?
If not, would you like to have a child? Why?

The best place I've ever visited was Seattle in 1995. Not because I was into grunge or anything at the time. It's just that everything about that trip was great. The marketplace downtown, the hike to the ghost mining town of Monte Cristo, the old motels we stayed in. I was with my godfather and my dad. I was 15 at the time. I don't think I've had a better vacation/trip since.
What is the most severe crime you've ever committed (whether you were caught for it or not)?

I remember my dreams for a short while when I first wake up and then they go. Only a couple ever stay with me and these are really surreal taking places and people I know and jumbling them all up.
Do you bowl? If so do you remember your highest score?

Answer - ill answer al of them, and ask a q, and we should be back on track! No answering questions that have already been answered!
No, I do not have children. Would I have them? hmm. Something ive often pondered. I actually cant stand children - the pitch of their voices gets under my skin.
I am also way to selfish I think. The thought of effectively putting my life on hold, for some child...doesnt sit right with me.
The only way id have a child is if I was about 30 +, had a great house, a stable income, and lots of support. Even then I wouldnt plan it.
AT the same time, id love to bring up a child, because i know id be a great mother.
_____________________________________________
I dotn think ive ever committed a really seruious crime. got caught doign a farily big shop lift once, when I was like 14.
Oh, actually, i guess pulling a knife out on someone, and sorta using it is pretty serious.
__________________________________________
Yes I remember most of my dreams. they vary, they seem to be more realistic recently.
__________________________________________
Ok, my question,. hmm.
Describe falling in love, and being in love. or what youimagine it to be like, if you havent.
I love you for what I am not, I did not ask for what I have got.
You will get used to me. Welcome to your new joy. |

Its like an unavoidable weight, which is both good and bad at the same time. If the object of said affection is available it hangs more on the good side, everything seems right with life, and the issue is plucking up the courage. If said object is not available, then obviously its more on the not so good side. I just tend to end up mooning around and listening to certain music. Whichever way round, I tend to get very romantic and poetic.
What is the view out of your bedroom window?

If I could ask a Pixie anything, it'd probably be Frank what the "real" story behind the Pixies break up was. Or maybe what "Billy Radcliffe" is about or something.
my question.. If you pulled up to a gas station and the pump, instead of asking for payment, told you to go ahead and fill up, and after you finished it simply said "Thank You", would you just take off without ever paying? |

Doh, well, I'd rather have ice cream with Kim Deal than know about the break up. Plus she'd probably tell me about the breakup over a nice double scoop anyway.
You guys can skip my question. go to gavin's

I will answer both!
I think my favorite hobby as a kid was just playing with small things - like Barbie or little cars. I did a lot of make-believe things, which I think comes from being an only child.
AND, if the gas man told me to drive on, I most certainly would. I think that is called KARMA.
My question -
What is the best thing that ever happened to you?

hey, ramona, I think we're related! Gay parent, only child, er..frank black? ok, im nto really making my case here....swiftly moving on....
The best thing to ever happen to me. My, thats a tough question. I mean, do you pick something that made you really happy?
Or something, that maybe didnt seem so great at the time, but has shaped you as a person?
I think it would either be having fallen in love - twice, and having my heart broken..too many times.
Moving to Brighton. I lived in a small town, that people tend to feel suffocated in (gavredmaxx would back me up on this one!). Theres too many memories, and too much past their as well. Brighton is amazing. Ive met fantastic people, the sort of people that you know youd stay in contact with for a long time. and I dont keep having to face my past every other day.
I guess my mum being who she is, and the way she boughtme up is one of the best things to happen to me too.
Ok, my question : Describe you dream home. It can be the whole thing, or just a room, or certain aspects that would make your home, your home. if you see what I mean.
Erm, and my mum being gay.
I love you for what I am not, I did not ask for what I have got.
You will get used to me. Welcome to your new joy. |

I've never really thought about my dream home. I guess the people in it would be more important, but from a purely aesthetic point of view, I guess it would be along the lines of a nice little cottage in St Ives, Cornwall, where I could get to the beach and the town easily. It would be a cool place to live, and the house would be kind of the spacious, somewhat minimalisty white-walled sort of thing, to go with the seaside setting. Maybe some art on the walls, a little dog. Aah.

My dream home would be in the middle of the woods probably here in Virginia (but not Lynchburg) with a moutain stream running beside the house, like under the deck or something. And I would high powered internet and a whole section of the house for my cats to live in. And a music room and no neighboors.
What countries have you been to? |

Yeah, Cheeseman you forgot to ask a new question! So, thanks, LBF.
I have been to Italy, the UK (both England and Scotland), Germany, (just the airport in Frankfurt, does that count?), Canada, and the US. I think that's all...
Do you believe that we each have a soul mate?

My favorite food is CHEESE. How ironic. (given who the question came from!)

I LOVE the UK. I have been twice. I would live in London, but I would miss my family too much. Maybe someday. I keep threatening Ten Percenter that I am going to come and be his nanny! (he lives in Edinburgh)

I would tattoo my name, so if one day i become a secret agent and lose my memory after a tragic plane accident, i'll find out my identity.
What makes you cry?
I keep feeling like people are just looking at screens and web sites all the time, but do they ever do anything? Or go out and say anything to anyone? I'm not so sure anymore. |
