Was it Adan or floop who recommended the comic Martin Mystery? I just saw part of a new cartoon that I'm assuming is based on the comic. Have you guys seen it? I'm betting that the cartoon is a big insult to the fans of the comic.

Martin Mystère has a cult status in Italy along with Dylan Dog. A good comic but i haven't watched the cartoon yet(i think it's a french production).

oh yeah, I remember you being in on that conversation too. I really want to check those comics out, especially Dylan Dog, but I can't find them.

The cartoon is sorta anime-ish, but then again, what isn't?

I know for sure that there is a UK distribution of the full series of DD. I don't think that there is a US one but there are some graphic novels which include some numbers. There is one right now on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35777&item=2245928128&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW.

And you can always try a search in suprnova for scanned comics.

cool thanks! What's suprnova? Is it like soulseek or kazza? I tried searching for scans for both comics on soulseek but there weren't any.

Suprnova is a file sharing community that uses bittorent. It's much faster than the other P2P and there are no ques but it needs a web based link to download. Suprnova has links to all sorts of downloads.

I tried doing something with bittorent a few years ago and it was infuriating. Not even my computer nerd friends could figure it out.

I found it pretty easy. You install it and you are ready to go. There's nothing to configure, unless you are firewalled. In that case just give permission to the program to access the internet.

-Get the client here: http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/download.html
-Install it.
-Then go at suprnova.org and click a download. You will be prompted with a "save as" window. Save in a directory and the rest is automatic. You will see a bittorent window with the dl progress. That's it

Ah see, I am firewalled here. That was probably the problem. There's no way I wouldn't have been able to operate something that simple and I know it wasn't just a matter of telling it to access the internet. Maybe I'll try it again when I connect back home.

Martin Mystère is one of the best comics ever. I dhaven't heard about a cartoon though.

THE best comic ever imho is also Italian, it's Alan Ford :

I keep feeling like people are just looking at screens and web sites all the time, but do they ever do anything? Or go out and say anything to anyone? I'm not so sure anymore.
