I know some people on here are into them. Here's some pictures I took of their show a few weeks ago.

Holy crap that's a small venue! They look like some nobody local band playing in someone's basement. Their record is terrific, and I'm really sad I missed them when they came here. How are they live?

A friend of mine who I got into the Unicorns saw them in Philly a few months back and didn't let me know, I'm still a bit miffed about that. Anyways I'll be seeing them in a few weeks at the Black Cat in DC should be awesome. Then the week after mclusky in the same club. Damn straight.

They're awesome live and it seems like they come to Toronto every week. I've seen them 3 times in the last month and a half. They opened up for Blonde Redhead at the first show I saw them. It kind of sucked though. I went to see the show mostly because of them and they only played like 5 songs. The show the photos are from kicked ass though and yeah the venue was kind of weird. It was a legion hall really and no stage but they still sounded awesome and made fun of Toronto! They're album is the best thing I've heard in like the last 2 years.

I don't know if they're the best thing I've heard in the last two years, but they are definately in the top three. Amazing group. I really dig the vocals and the fact that they're so cartoony and at the same time so morbid, it really mixes well instead of being too dark or too cheery they have found a real happy medium.

Since I love the Unicorns and you like them too I'm curious what's the other 2 bands in your top 3. I must know, I love hearing new musical brilliance.

I've had this record for a LONG time and everytime I listen to it, I'm constantly taken aback by how great it is. I mean, I already KNOW it's great, but then I go listen again and it's somehow better than I remembered. And it's not like I've just got it and listened a few times and it's in the grow-on phase. I've had it, as I said, for quite awhile.

Weird but cool. Like the unicorns.

I would have to agree with what Dean said, although I'm still in that growth stage. These guys never cease to impress me. Each time I pop in Who will cut our hair... I find a new favorite track. The CD doesn't have any real flaws. A friend of mine tried to book them, which would have been pretty cool, but it didn't work out.

Is pink the new black or something? God, I hope not.

Have you heard these guys, shine? I think you'll agree that for them, pink is really the only acceptable colour for a cape considering...

I mean, it's dark, but fun, all at the same time.
