I bought both series on DVD two weeks ago. At the moment The Office is my favorite.

No way! NOTHING can beat six feet under. I fuckinglove that show. Much more wit, and depth, and the camera movements and lighting in it are just so compelling.

I love you for what I am not,
I did not ask for what I have got.

I agree that Six Feet Under is a quality show. The Office just makes me laugh so much, most of the characters in it are like somebody I know. The characters in Six Feet Under are a very strange bunch. Rachel Griffiths is brilliant. I've been a fan of hers since Muriel's Wedding.

I'm going to start an imaginary thread asking what is better out of anvils and otters. The only similarity between the office and 6 feet under have is that they're both TV shows, how can you compare them?

I've been watching both shows for the past week. I'm not saying that there are any similarities, I was just curious what the folks on here think about these shows.

Thinking about it my post did seem a little bit acidic, sorry, blame it on the fact I'm currently jobless and very very bored.

It seems like every show that's ever been on TV for more than two months is coming out on DVD nowadays. Can't wait for the Square One and Small Wonder first season DVDs!

Both are good shows.... couldn't really say which one I like better as both have outstanding merits. I have only seen season 1 of SFU as thats all that is available in China at present.

I have alot of respect for HBO series.... and BBC.

Well, if you must know, anvils are better because they don't need to be fed and they can hold down your paperwork in case it gets windy. Try that with an otter. I've done it and trust me, it simply doesn't work too well.

hehe..

I'm a pretty big fan of both shows..for straight-up laughs, The Office, no doubt. SFU is a lot deeper tho, and is thoroughly engaging...tho i think i'd say the 3rd season did take us for a bit of a ride, and i didn't enjoy it as much as the first two seasons.

I guess season four starts in a month or so. Looking forward to see where they go.

I should think so, Wilhelm. Anybody knows anvils are better. When was the last time dropping an otter on someone was funny?

A freind of mine mentioned how much he was enjoying the two series of The Office on DVD earlier. Another friend who has it, we went through a period of watching it over and over. Ruins it a bit, though. Best to wait a while! I've only seen bits of Six Feet Under, seems like it's trying to be weird, in a way, but I can't judge it without watching it properly!!
