Well we were a bit rushed so its not 100% finished, but last night Ray and I put up the new Lollapalooza site, and will be updating it as we get new info!

Tickets for the NYC show, featuring the Pixies go on sale today!

The new Lollapalooza site says that bands playing select dates have a little * besides their name (Basement Jaxx, Wilco, Spearhead). Yet the Pixies do not! Does this mean they playing the whole tour? Also, can you confirm if PJ Harvey is playing Toronto?

Thanks so much. The site looks great. Hopefully the message board will be up and running soon. Thanks!!!

i think it does. i think the * is refering to how they wrote *pixies* and flaming *lips*, cuz string cheese doesnt have those stars and they are playing the whole tour. i might be wrong dont listen to me

No the big stars is just fonts (notice every second band has the big stars). The little * (see Wil*co) refer to selected dates. The Lips are on every date of the tour, so is Sonic Youth. PJ * Harvey is on selected dates. The Pixies have no little star.

But it still could be just a mistake. I just hope they are joining the full tour.

I like how it says pixies will be playing day 1 at ventura, that means pixies and morrisey on the same night, wow! that's lollaperrific!

Stay tuned for signature change at 400 posts.

I also should add that 'palooza needs a real headliner like the Pixies especially in Toronto. String Cheese has never played Toronto and that's because there is real lack of love for jam bands in Canada (whether or not that is justifiable, I don't know).

Madtempest...very nice design I love the retro feel and all the groovy colors...very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Any chances that more dates will be added??? It would be great if Lalla would come to Minny...that would make my day!

there's no way, we have no real outdoor amphiteater to host it

they tried to do it last year at the Target Center, and the 2nd stage was going to be First Avenue, but that fell through and they cancelled the show here.

they used to host it at Harriet Island over in St. Paul, which they stopped having shows there for quite some time, but in the last 2 years have had the Warped Tour and Taste of MN there, but Lolla is too big for it anymore i think.

i honestly am fine with it not coming here. mostly because that means all the bands i'd really wanna see on Lolla (Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey, Modest Mouse, Sparta, Flaming Lips, and Elbow) will hopefully play a headlining show here this summer or fall (save for the Lips, bastards :). i hate festivals, for their short ass sets (45-60 min), and billions of people :)

the only day i'd be interested in going is the first. unless the Pixies or Wilco were to play a MN 2nd day, that day is so not worth $50 at all unfortunately.

, Perry announced that in Denver only, he will join Colorado’s The String Cheese Incident on stage for the first time ever as The Perry Farrell Incident. The band with Farrell, will play a set of music that includes classic Jane’s Addiction tunes and a few surprises you will just have to see and hear for yourself.

that is the most sacreligious shit i have heard in a long time.

i was talkin to peachy peach about kissy kiss

Thanks for the Solace...

Good point...I have seen most of the bands...I would like to see Modest Mouse but pretty much have seen most of the bands I would like to see at least once... I might wait until the last minute to see the show in Chicago if my Chi town friend(s) can get off work.

It's too bad there is no venue for it here tho.
