you know, I think I might have already posted about this group once but I can't remember. I'm just so unbelievably bored right now that I had to post something. Why the hell is this board so dead?

I watched the 5,6,7,8's video's on the Kill Bill dvd. They are soo cool, even though their supposed to be singing in English, I could'nt understand a word they said! Adam and Jo used to have a great show from Japan, at the end of each one they had a popular Japanese band, alot of the stuff was really crazy and funny, I'd love to be able to get that stuff here. The only Japanese artist I've listened to so far is Cornelius, who is pretty amazing.

I am surprised to find this topic. They have fans not only in Japan but in other countries! About 5 yesrs ago, they were one of the most popular "pop idols" in Japan. But now they don't so often appear on TV as they used to do. And so they have slipped my mind...
Their songs are something different from traditional "japanese pop". Perhaps they were influenced by '60s rock style, I think. Do you think so? They are cute.

that seems right mariggy, at least on some songs. They're getting their own cartoon here in the states . . . not sure if it's already on in Japan.

I really like Meltbanana. I saw them by accident in Dublin about 5-6 years ago, none of their songs seemed to last for more than five seconds, and I would count it one of the best shows I have seen.
