Does anyone know if the Pixies are supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Cardiff, Wales (United Kingdom) on June 23rd?
This website seems to think so: http://www.londoncallingmusic.com/redhotchilipepperstickets/
... but I can't find any more reputable sources to confirm it.
They're in Greece on the 21st and Germany on the 25th, so there's a space there - it is possible.
Can anyone point to a website confirming this?

I posted on here a while ago askin about that too- It's rumoured that they will be, but that weblink u gave is the 1st thing iv seen sayin that they have been 'confirmed'. I got hold of my Chilis ticket on friday, & most of my mates are going- everyone I know seems to hav heard the rumour about the pixies supporting but no1 seems to know if its true. I'd really love it to be- seeing the pixies in my home town aswell as brixton academy!! but I feel the sound quality in the stadium (the concert is in the millenium stadium, primarily a sports stadium)maybe wouldnt quite do them justice- feeder didnt sound too bad but the acoustics of the stadium just didnt suit the stereophonics!

I've been searching all day (again) to try to confirm or deny this- I have, however, found plenty of evidence for the pixies supporting RHCP in Paris & Dublin. I guess I'll keep searching for the other info! If i dont find out between now & then ill find out when i get2 the concert!

The link above has the Pixies down for playing Hyde Park on the 25th, which is doubled booked with the German festival. So hardly reliable, sadly :(
Still hoping Cardiff's on the cards tho!

It would be awesome if they are supporting, though would the acoustics (or lack of) in the millenium stadium really do justice for such a great band? It's really annoyin me cos every1 in my school is like 'oh yeah, The Pixies are supporting' It's got to a stage where most people see this as 'common knowledge'- I keep asking people where they heard this from, ans getting told that 'everyone knows!'. Then comes the sad task of explaining that theres no reliable evidence to prove that they are supporting, or even that they're not. I hear The Rasmus are supporting too- no hard evidence there though either!
Have a great time at the concert with Sarah, I'm going with Sian & hoping to meet up with Dan, Tasha, Sarah, Abi, Cath, Claire, Mach, Vicci, Elgy, Hay, Daaave & pretty much the rest of the world when weget there- though i'm not sure what tickets every1 else has- was disappointed to find that mine & sians are upper teir unreserved seating, but hoping we can sneak down to the pitch :)
Well I'm off to see dan now- catch u round maybe? Claire

Well I've been searching for confirmation all over the web since I posted that, and I've been unable to find any confirmation anywhere. The people at Ticketmaster & Wayahead can't say who's supporting, and the people at Londoncalling (the link in the original post) say they should really change the website since they put that statement on it at the stage where it looked as though The Pixies were supporting RHCP on all European dates, and this has now changed. He gave the same example as Ziggy to show how out of date it is.
Bugger. I'd be gutted if I missed them in my hometown, but I'm not buying tickets unless I'm sure.
Can anyone think of a way of finding out for sure? |

oh wow i didnt realise there were that many left! Although, when I was looking at getting tickets I was more interested in the pitch/lower tier cos its likely to have the best view of the stage. My tickets are upper tier anyway- i bough them off a friend who cant go. Brixton tickets arrived today! sooo happy :D
