I noticed that the Farrelly Brothers' 'Stuck On You' lead title song is 'here comes your man' (pretty cool)....and then halfway thru the movie, 'la la love you' starts playing. I was very happy....and the movie is pretty dang good too.

Somewhat related:

There's a very entertaining indie horror movie called May (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303361/combined) that uses at least two Breeders songs. "Oh!" and "Do You Love Me Now?". (And incidentally it also has some Breeders-y original songs that are good enough to make me wish the movie had a soundtrack album). And there's a little bit of Pixies and Breeders talk in the DVD commentary. The director and the woman who did the music are big fans.

Didn't the Farrelly Brothers do 'Say It Ain't So' too? I haven't seen the whole movie, but a friend was quickly flipping through the channels one time while I was mostly sleeping then I awoke in a start and started saying "Here Comes Your Man!! Here Comes Your Man!!" My friend (who hasn't heard of the Pixies... we're not that close) was very confused. I told her to go back a few channels, and sure enough, it was that movie playing that song. Some scene with an air plane. I thought it was neat. Heard the rest of the song in that scene then went back to sleep.

Yeah, but the song isn't on the soundtrack!! Guess they had to make more room for Pearl Jam & friends. Oh well.

I only saw Singles once. It was in a crowded dormatory room when it was 1st released. While I found the movie to be OK, I was never moved to see it again. Guess I'll have to go buy it now. They could've moved a bunch of crap off of the soundtrack in my opinion to make room for Dig. Just as long as they kept Hendix's Waterrall, & Smashing Pumpinikins' Drown. That song is the best Pumpkin's song.

i dont know if anyones heard of it(it prolly would of been mentioned if anyone has) but this amazing movie Haiku Tunnel has debaser as the opening song. i didnt get to finish the movie, but apperently bone machine is in it as well. its a very good movie, its like office space, but much better.http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005UW7H/qid=1083813322/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/102-3158394-7551335?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846

and also my second favorite movie after fight club, is Crime + Punishment :In Suburbia:. and in it theres the Far cover of monkey gone to heaven. and also in the credits theres modest mouse-trailor trash, its acctually one of my favorite modest mouse songs.

I bought the soundtrack to that film. I'm sure you guys are aware that Frank and Joey did a lot of work for the music in that film. Frank did that instrumental version of Bullet, and Joey did another little ditty called Damaged Little Fuckers, I believe. In the credits and thank-yous for the sountrack, the director says very nice things about the two, saying he couldn't have put the music together for the film without Frank and Joey. It's pretty neat.

The movie "Unbreakable" was on the other day and I picked up on a Pixies song. In the scene where Samuel L. Jackson is in the comic book shop, you can hear "I've been tired" in the store's stereo.

every little buggy that you see on the sidewalk is going to bug city for the night....

I thought it was cool that they chose La La Love You in Stuck On You, a bit of wackiness never goes amiss.
I loved the bit on the Pixies DVD where Adam/Joe is saying his favourite pixies song is the one that goes: "da-da-dang-dang-dang-dang, whew-whew, yeah!"

"Everywhere I go I want to travel by X-Wing"

I've never seen that movie, but isn't that the one that plays TMBG's "Snowball In Hell"?

IMDB doesn't have a listing for the Pixies (maybe we should start compiling one), but they do have one for Frank Black:

Doesn't the Alec Eiffel site have a pretty comprehensive list of where they've appeared in films? That might be a way to kick off getting them on tghe IMDB.

'Unbreakable' has a pixies song playing throughout one scene, I think it ws "I've been tired".

And last weekend I was watching TV and saw a commercial for what appeared to be a very dumb show from the US, something like "Extreme House Makeover" or something like that, and they playing "Build High"! A B-side! I'm amazed...

Stuck on You sucks. I'm glad that it had those songs at least. I thought it was pretty silly having La La Love You when Cher was looking at her butt.

I saw, months ago, one european film. All the songs of the film were from Pixies albums. I donīt know the name of the film, has anybody saw that film? one of weird scenes, like one with one bloody man walking in one empty street for long time and sounds baileīs walk behind. other tracks are I've been tired, mr grieves, debaser, etc.

Hey psychocandy, I'm pretty sure your talking about the very, very elusive Albert Souffre, a french film with an all pixies soundtrack. I've been looking it forever so if you ever see it again record it and I'll buy the tape off you.

For ten thousand years he slept, his mind feeding on the nightmares of the weak. Now he has awakened. As the night turned crimson, the fire-blade shattered and his power died. Then, the slaughter began...
