I've listened to Automatic For The People in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound today. It was incredible.

Now I'm hoping 4AD might consider releasing the Pixies albums in the DVD Audio format sometime. Hearing Trompe in Dolby 5.1 will be absolutely stunning.

Please 4AD.

Yeh, it's annoying with the CDs that they are so quiet.

The CDs aren't quiet. Everything else is too loud.

Dvd audio is crap(dvda), sacd is the way to go, though I'd prefer dvda over what we have now.

Yeah? What is sacd, haven't heard of that one yet. I thought the REM record sounded realy good in Dolby surround.

Heard some of 'Automatic' in surround and whilst thinking that hearing everything so clearly was great, it was missing something - was the remix done by Scott Litt / REM?

Pet Sounds was oddly good in this format, all things considered. Best thing I've heard in surround music-wise so far is the 'I am the Walrus' promo on the Beatles Anthology DVD - THAT was weird....

The sleeve notes credit Elliot Scheiner and Jamie Candiloro for the remix. Find The River is the track which realy impressed with the sound. I was wondering if Pet Sounds is any good in this format, I'll get it then.
