Anybody notice that DiscLive all of the sudden shows that all the cd sets are sold out? They were six shows left there earlier today and now they're gone - I wonder if its a site malfunction.

I just saw that too! I don't think it's a malfunction as there is a note above the list explaining that all shows are sold out now.

Anyone know what the discs are selling for at the show (in Canadian $)??
I know they were going to be $25 US, but what are they actually charging in Canadian Funds? Right now $25 US is roughly $33.75 cdn...

This is what DiscLive.com says:

Sold Out: At this time, all pre-order opportunities are sold out. However, at the end of the concert tour we will be putting up a small number of CDs which were not purchased at the venue for sale on this site. Fans can still buy an allotment of 500 CDs at each Pixies show, or wait for a release of a very limited number of CDs after the tour is over.

I guess an allotment of the six shows that weren't sold will be available then. I wonder why they did this...

Hey!
I picked up an Edmonton CD last night and they only charged $30 Canadian. I'm so short on sleep right now---with a triple-overtime Canucks/Flames hockey game on Saturday night....then travelling to Edmonton for the Pixies show.... then partying with the hundreds of "Canadian Idol" audition lineup kids in West Edmonton Mall ....yadda yadda yadda---- that I cant do the conversion.
I think $30 Canuckian might be less than $22 US.

Also, when I left, Disclive said they were almost sold out of the 500 for sale at the venue.

DiscLive definitely deserves to sell out. They did a fantastic job! So fantastic, in fact, that we're always talking about them.

Damn straight. Frank needs to hire these guys for some Frank Black & the Catholics shows too. That would be unfuckingbelievable.

$30.00 Canadian = (roughly) $24.60 U.S.

What I was thinking is that there is a chance that the website just wasnt updated in time, CD's of the Edmonton show were available about 12 hours after the show. So is there a chance that people who got their automatic responce email saying order confirmed actually missed out? (That is, assuming they sold out)

No they didn't. It would appear they have lost my order to an internet black hole. It was the Minneapolis show too!!!

Have faith, bro. They're very busy. I don't know if they've sent any CD's out at all. (Guess I could go look in the other thread if I weren't lazy.)

I looked at my order page on Disc0Live, and they seem to be shipping or close to shipping the discs.
I ordered a minn disc and they gave me a tracking number and when I track it at USPS.gov it said this:

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on April 20, 2004 to expect your package for mailing. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. "

So, maybe they are doing that thing where they print their own stamps out. I think that works on a bar code sort of deal, and then when they actually make it to a post office, they will be scanned and tracked.

Anyway. I am really excited. Especially because I am in Brooklyn, and they won't play here for a while, or it looks that way so far at least.
