regina was a tight show, cool that everybody was on the same level as the bend, instead of below, or above on a balcony. and did anybody get to hang out in regina? cool city! the locals are super-friendly, stopped in at the plains hotel for a couple beers last night, it was cool. the city's got a real skyline, a bunch of big buildings around victoria park. and we found a sweet cafe where we could get on the interweb that also had a liquor license. nice. great show, great city.

Is the guy who wore the 'Marry Me Kim' shirt on this board? He was taking pictures (not digital) from right beside me up at the front and must have got some great shots. He's also the guy who was on the receiving end of the dry humping.
Also, someone who was smart enough to buy the CD can answer this. Didn't they play Something Against You as well, or is that just some kind of false memory? |

gkd> they did play Something Against You. I screwed up my inital set list, in part because UMass/Crackity Jones/Something Against You are all one track on the CD and I was just skipping from track to track quickly to figure out the set list.
johnny> glad you liked the QC, but The Plains? Not where I would have recommended you go, but glad you had fun. Was the internet bar Easy Alibi? They have live bands there once in awhile if you can imagine.
I'm also glad most of the out-of-towners seemed to like the hall because frankly it's a weird venue to have a show. Very few people ever play there. The accoustics aren't very good and the sightlines suck. Oh well, I'd go to someone rec room if the Pixies were playing there. |

Well, a phenomenal show. I really didn't think that it would be better than Winnipeg, but it was. Of course it helped that my wife and I were right up at the front barricade right between Kim and Frank.
My arms are pretty bruised from being pushed up against the barricade, but I'm better off than the guy beside me who was being dry humped by some nutbag in a green shirt.
BTW anyone who can burn me a copy of the show (I bought Winnipeg and I am willing to burn that in return), I would GREATLY appreciate it!
hey man, you were the dude with the brown sweater weren't ya? at least, i think you were you'd gladly pay 20 bucks just to see their instruments? i was right beside the guy in the green shirt, so i was right behind you for the whole show, well, actually, i moved behind the girl i was with or else she would have suffocated... but you get the idea
oh ya, and i bought a copy of the cd, i can send you a ripped version if you'd like, IM me if you still need it |
