Shirt Magic looks pretty good to me too!
Here's a range of shirt colors for them (took me a while to locate this!)

It's pretty expensive to do double sided shirts, I think, so we're probably better off to stick with nothing on the back. I tried calling them today to set something up, but of course there's noone in the office on Good Friday.
How we'd probably have to work it is for FB.Net to guarantee certain numbers (say 100) to get that price break and then you guys order them from them.
If we do 100 organic cotton (I see no reason to add an extra $5 to have hemp, but if that's what you guys want, I'm cool with it) shirts with a 3-colour screen (presuming we go with coloured and not white), then cost to you guys would probably be around $12 US plus shipping. Again, I'd like to get a hold of them and see what I can work out, but for now, this is probably close. Who knows, you might be able to choose your own colour too.
I'm not sure what the purpose of this post is, but here you are. There's no way these will be done in time for the warmup tour, but it's a definite possibility that Europe could have them by the time the Pixies get there (plus the fall North American tour). In the meantime, I think we should whip up some little frankblack.net stickers and I'm going to see if Dave can do that unless Mr. Duck would also like to have a go at it.
I'm thinking a grey border with frankblack.net in the top left and then white space in the middle to print your name with a felt pen. Be sure to print off extras to give to people at the concert. :) We'll have everybody wearing them before you know it.

Good idea for the stickers. And the shirt deal sounds sweet too. |

Ok, I think we should do it, cult of ray shirts, one side, frankblack.net on it, blue, but Isn't the cult of ray figure copyrighted? can someone check it with ken goes? Stickers would be cool, maybe also a couple of flyers to hang up at shows.

Are you going to use the cult of ray head from the album cover? I assumed you were all talking about using the pixelated version that I made.
I don't think I've anything to add on the stickers Dave. |

Oops - forgot to say - Active Duck, since you've already got a lot of this started, would you wanna be responsible for the badge? I'd just end up nabbing bits and pieces from here and beyond to throw this thing together. =)

I like the idea of using the pixelated Active Duck head anyway, to be honest, since it's a shirt for this site. But sounds like a blue version of that Join the Cult of Frank shirt with FrankBlack.net at the bottom is what we're going to do. Active Duck, if you don't want to do the stickers that's cool, but let me know as soon as you can because I leave for Winnipeg Tuesday as do, I imagine, a few others here...

I'd personally rather have a real COR head rather than the pixelated version if it's possible

pix(i)elated or not, it does not matter, both versions would rock I'm with Cult of Frank on the design blue, join, and fb.net
12 dollars for a shirt does not sound expensive to me do it!

I know it's probably too late for submissions, but here's a variation on Active Duck's shirt. And the design could also be used for stickers, etc. I just really dig that lil' soldier guy. Take it or leave it.

I think we're pretty much decided on a shirt, but we could use those soldier guys as a watermark for the nametag stickers. Did you want to do that?
A medium-gray (the colour of the ".Net") with the FrankBlack.Net (you'll probably have to recolour the ".Net" to white) logo in the top left corner. And then really light gray clay soldier guys as the background for the white middle part where the people would write their names...

Yeah, I was just throwing that out for what it was worth. Sounds like a nice way to impliment the design. I think the numerous clay soldier guys gives the impression of a "cult." But yeah, it could work excellently for the sticker, too. I'll see what I can do about putting that together. I got the light gray soldiers bit, but I'm unclear about the white ".Net."

Well, if you're going to have a gray border with FrankBlack.Net overtop of it in the top left, then you'd probably have to recolour the .Net to be white since it's already gray, unless you did it some other way... just a thought on it.

Hey guys great ideas... just wanted to give you an idea for this or another go around of the t-shrits.
A big part of this sight's brand equity are the cat heads. Maybe people can print off and iron on icons similar to those they have accumulated with their name. Another way to do it is have the person selling the t-shirts at each show stamp each person once per show.
It's just another way to build of the name tag idea. This way it's more personalized and people will be more likely to purhcase and wear the shrits to all shows. Very cool.
If you guys haven't aleady, I would see if you could trademark the use of the cats in association with FB Net.
Also I am sure you have thought of a way of making sure that the fans can get these shirts...mail order vs selling at a show. If you are selling at a show you might want to have a booth to distribute the shirts...that way you could let brand new members sign up too.
If you are able to set this all up, you could also sell posters and collect donations for the new server. It's all for a good cause : )
sorry for passing on so many ideas that are somewhat off topics... just want to help. i used to get paid to do fun stuff like this...it makes me feel more worthwhile! :) |

The TOTY head rocks Active Duck. I'd be all over a t-shirt with that, or a pin, or a badge, or whatever. I'm suddenly way into nerding out on music related gear. |
