Sorry for the rip-off Jimbo.
Just found it strange that this was April 5th as well.
He was also very good imho.

Alice In Chains were awesome at what they did. Nutshell, Heaven Beside You, that song from tripod (three leg dog) that went, "When I'm waking... and I'm blah blah" really slow... great song (was it called Shame In You?), Over Now, plenty of others... they had some good tunes. But goddamn, some of their stuff was so angsty and murky. I wish they'd stuck to doing the bluesier, more melodic stuff.

You know the significance of "Peace, love, empathy," right? It doesn't work in this situation...

but you are at exactly 2600 posts right now, and from what I recall, the bulk of them haven't been complete shite, so even if you aren't all that creative, at least you don't just ramble away aimlessly.

Cheers!

I want to say peace and love for Kurt Cobain.
I believe that was in April as well.

The way in which Layne Stayley was found was pretty horrific. I just imagine him dead, having been laying there starting to decay for the past couple of weeks. Nasty.

I love Over Now. And The Nothing Song.

"You one of those right-wing nut outfits?" inquired the diplomatic Metzger.
Fallopian twinkled. "They accuse us of being paranoids."
"They?" inquired Metzger, twinkling also.
"Us?" asked Oedipa.

I don't know if I was just watching the wrong TV stations and reading the wrong articles, but I got the general impression from people involved in Layne Stayley death that it was no real surprise and everybody saw it coming. That kinda bummed me out. There wasn't anywhere near the media coverage as when Kurt died. Nobody saying "why him?" I'm not trying to compare talent and influence between the two guys, but I think that if Layne had died the same year as Kurt, with the popularity of their respective bands, there would have been a bit more noise made by the people. Am I making any sense?
