Awesome Realistic!!!!! People like you man makes so worth to belong to this forum!!! I could start working on my questionnaire quite late but it was neat...
Now, CHISLIC, payback such a gift by adopting a fan for our CD program... Easy as honey piiiie! Just buy 2 CDs at the venue and sell one at its face value+shipping to someone else who will not be able to go to the concert.

Alright, just a couple things I was wondering about. With disclive, how are they planning on distributing the cds after the show? Is everyone just going to be sitting in the venue waiting for their copy after the show, since it seems its going to be at least a little bit of a wait for some of the cds. Also out of 500 on sale at the venue you cant buy any of those before the show right? I just want to make sure when I get in the door that I'll have a shot at actually getting one, which is part of why I'm going to get in line about 6:30 just so I can run to the disclive booth and get my voucher and then find a place near the soundboard.

So guessing that The Capitol Years play for a hour, Pixies should be coming on about 10 pm? I havent been to the fine line before, I used to go to a ton of shows at first ave, fine lines never really had anything I really wanted to see before. Does anyone know if the fine line has any kind of closing time or curfew? Due to the 2 cd recordings it'll be at least 80 minutes and possibly up to 160 unless they decided to play over the limit and we don't get every track on our cds(which I have no problem with :), play until 6 am before heading off to winnipeg.

TOMORROW w00t! I was so excited and then for some strange reason I wasnt so excited because it didn't seem real to me anymore and now I'm like OH SHIT IM SEEING THE FUCKING PIXIES TOMORROW.
*hoping I am as excited tomorrow, I'll probably cream my pants when they come on stage, so don't stand next to me*

Well, I live in MPLS so I can go and wait at the entrance until the concert is over, and to listen the most I can from the outside. For those living in other cities the CD could be shipped with previous payment.

Nbody answering at the Fine Line, and at Ticketmaster I was told that the possibilities to re-issue tickets for this venue was "very unlikely".

It's so hard to concentrate at work when it's known that these guys are around (and Aly so deep on my mind)...

I was hoping tickets would be available...did they say anything about the show that is on their website? I would still go to the show tomorrow...maybe someone will be selling tickets for a reasonable price.

Hey.... i can't stop thinking about the show so I am not going to even try to work on serious stuff...

So I pulled together some of the band's horoscopes... from http://horoscopes.astrology.com. I was hoping to see what was in the "stars" for the show. Looks like it will be sentimental...no joke.

I don't believe in this stuff but find it entertaining. If anyone knows David's birthday, let me know i couldn't find it....enjoy...

Several astrological influences are working quite diligently to turn ordinarily resilient little you into a veritable emotional sponge -- especially when it comes to the feelings of others. Be prepared for a strong dose of sentimentality.

April 13, 2004
You'll leap out of bed thinking about what has to be done -- but don't forget about tender matters. Get your chores done before dinner. A spontaneous invitation could lead to something you'll enjoy for a long, long time to come

Kim—Capricorn (she’s on the cusp of Capricorn/Aquarius)
April 12, 2004
You'll have plenty of cosmic inspiration to help you forget about work and concentrate more on tender matters -- which is no easy feat for a sign as rational as yours. It's okay. You can afford to be a bit distracted.

April 13, 2004
You're due to meet someone who just loves to make everything bigger, better and more noticeable. That means you're going to have to compete -- but won't that be fun? Rivalry can be inspiring!

Ok, I found a Jan 18th as Kim’s birthday…but I also found it on June 11th. I am not sure which is right. I also couldn’t find David’s info…
Kim Aquarius :
April 12, 2004
You're ordinarily much better at reasoning things out than becoming too involved in anything that smacks of sentimentality -- but right now, you may break all those rules. It's okay. Whoever you're thinking about is thinking about you, too.

April 13, 2004
If you're attached, go out of your way to let your sweetie feel spoiled. If you're not, tell someone special just how lovely you think they are. Why hold your feelings back -- especially now, when all systems are go?

Joey/Kim?, Gemini:
April 12, 2004
Still flipping through scrapbooks and enjoying a trip down Memory Lane? Well, maybe -- but you'll probably quit by nightfall. At that point, it will be time to take matters into your own hands, and make that imagined reunion into a possibility -- and a reality.

April 13, 2004
Take care of business, and do it diligently. The good news is that once you're finished and free to do as you like, the universe will be only too happy to provide you with a wonderful distraction.

I went down there at 11 and they told me the same. No need to call about tickets anymore.

She said they are closed tonight and Rocket Equation is not playing. Damn, I was looking forward to seeing them. She didn't know why it's listed on the website.

The very nice woman at the desk told me there was some losers there yesterday taking pictures of the pixies yellow truck. LOL roomloo.

Oh, and they were all on the board laughing at us. lol

Can somone give me more details on the disclive thing? I've heard it takes about 30 min for the cd's to become available after the show.
I'd love a CD.

FWIW, I was in Chicago over the weekend. The Aragon Ballroom show on November 13th sold out in 3 minutes.

Just to clear things up, before the took the names of the bands down and put CLOSED they added another "band" called Bone Machine for 1am. So either it's you know what or they're are some seriously fucked individuals webmastering for the Fine Line.

That seals it. There is DEFINITELY something fishy going on here...
or is there?

All I know is that I'm glad I don't live in minneapolis, or else my butt would be camped outside of the Fine Line for the next 36 hours straight, just to make sure I didn't miss a thing!!!

Haha, I was there at the office around the time that all went down. Yeah, they had a good laugh about it -- my conversation with them might have inspired that -- but they're all super nice. And yes, the DO read this board -- the girl at the front desk had it right up on her screen when I walked in. It's all in good fun. She sort of half-apologized for calling me a loser. I figure I'll get over it.

Anyway, I first went to 1) see if anyone was standing in line yet and 2) ask about the camera policy. Negative on the first, still undecided on the second. Keep in mind though that when Fine Line does allow cameras, they generally only allow disposables. I'm thinking that bringing anything professional would be pretty risky, and I'm not going to even bother. Like I said, they were super nice to me today and as long as I'm on their good side I'd like to keep it that way.

To the Fine Line people -- don't be such strangers, sign up for an fb.net account and participate! We'd love to have you here....

Well, for those with very small digitals, buy a disposable, get it naked and then wrap your camera with the cover that you have removed. Don't forget to take a permanent market in your Dr. Marteens becasue I foresee that autographs will be so likely to happen...
I use to catch the bans just after the show is over and say my line "Hey guys, I just came from Colombia to see you playing and it'll be great if you sign this... and that... oh! can I keep that drum stick? Flash! Flash!" God bless our immigrants...

Check out the latest change at the Fine Line for tonight:
http://www.finelinemusic.com/event.cfm?id=1477

I think it's quite clear: THE PIXIES ARE PLAYING AT THE 400 BAR!!
Thank you very much Fine Line people! You have been so sweet.

They should have added "or come to the Quest." Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the Rapture are playing.

By the way, while walking around the Fine Line I saw a dude with a black BRMC jacket out on the street. I don't really know what the band members look like, though.

Sorry that my speculation about reissued tickets today proved wrong. I though that my first post made it pretty clear that there was no guarantee that they would reissue tickets, but that the fine line rep who I spoke with said that the best bet to find out about it would be to call on Monday. I apologize if people got their hopes up just to be let down.

Just my two cents ... as long as the Pixies are all set up and sound checked at the Fine Line (which I assure you they are), they're not going to tear everything down to play someplace else tonight. Maybe they'd just use someone else's instruments, but even that sounds farfetched...

Oh, Daisy Girl, I hope you know that was only joking! I knew things were getting to serious on this page and I wanted to give the Fine Line staff something to read. Bobby Bare Jr. is playing the 400 tonight and while he'll rock the house I assume he'll be doing it on his own. God, I'm so giddy right now.
