I had a dream last night that it was the big day of the Pixies show.

My wife and I got there early and grabbed a piece of prime real estate on the second level right up front. A perfect unobstructed view of the stage. Then somehow she fell over the ledge and broke her arm before the show started. It was a nasty compound fracture with an inch of bone sticking out of her lower arm. Obviously we had to leave. I was devastated.

Moral of the story/dream: if the venue you are going to has 2 levels, stick to the lower level.

You need to address this before the actual show.

I've already had two seperate dreams about things going wrong at the show I go to. In the first dream, in Winnipeg, the Pixies only played four songs and then left and the crowd went mad. In the second dream, in some club, the crowd went so insane during the first show and got too violent and the band was forced to leave the stage and cancel the show.

I'm normal though, I swear.

Yeah, I told my wife: "If you really love me, you'll stay home so there will be no accidents that may result in our leaving the event." Then I just had her sign a simple contract stating there will be no attempt by her to try to go. Then you just go down to the local bank and have that document notarized. Then you just open a safe deposit box at said bank, and double check to make sure it's a fireproof safe deposit box. Then you check back once a day to make sure that document is still there. Do that, and she'll understand.

Funny dream.... something similar happened to my mate at Leeds Festival a few years ago. Just before Guns N Roses came on my mates longterm girlfriend fell over and broke her ankle. He took her to the Ambulance people, gave her a kiss goodbye and then went to see the gig as they sent her to hospital.... disgraceful, but made me chuckle at the thought.

I cringe at the thought of what my wife would do to me if I did the same thing.... I have visions of a meat cleaver, balls, and lots of salt!

Who's the man that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

I've had too many Pixies concert dreams to count, even before the reunion. But my most recent involved the band taking part in a preshow bit of entertainment where some method actors led them from the four corners of the stage (one in each corner) in the shape of an X where the all crossed at the center and then ended up on the opposite side of the stage. Then for some reason they decided not to play the show and it was over. But I wasn't disappointed in the dream cause I got to see them all on the same stage, even if it wasn't playing music. Am I weird?

Hahaha, sounds like a similar premise to some of my dreams. How amusing.

The funny thing is that in my dream, I remember the thought crossing my mind that maybe I could just call her an ambulance and pick her up from the hospital after the show. I quickly decided that probably wasn't a good idea.

This concert is a really big deal for her too because she has never seen Frank live with the Pixies or the Catholics. About 5 years ago she had to stay home while me and some friends saw Frank and the Catholics in Seattle in a 21 and over show. She was about 1 month shy of her 21st birthday at the time.

something similar actually happened to me a long while ago... at a pixies gig at the town and country club, i managed to get on stage and dive back into the audience (i was young and stupid)... my face met the top of someones head and i broke my nose... staggered to the back of the crowd my white t-shirt red with blood... and had to go straight to hospital, missing the rest of the gig...

I dreamed that they played loads of slow folk songs and no Pixies numbers. Everyone slowly left and then on the way out Kim laughed at me and Frank hit me on the nose for booing. Analyse that.
PS I am normal too!
