I've just recently gotten into the music of Mr. Jason Pierce, but I've been listening to Ladies and Gentlemen, We're Floating in Space and Amazing Grace non-stop, and I'm really digging it. Any thoughts on these cats? |

ha ha...i was going to elaborate, but i don't love them, i like them, but not love. i don't have too many opinions on them except that i enjoy them. so i kept it simple. but i probably like "amazing grace" the most. plus i love albums w/ photos of arms on them (yeah Spoon!)

Ya, the Amazing Grace cover always reminds me of Kill the Moonlight. Man, I haven't listened to that in a long time... hang on a sec.... ah, there we go
Small stakes ensure you the minimum blues, you don't feel taken and think you've been used! |

We shall crush all who oppose us. With our arms!
Sadly, I must leave you to your own defences now (from the two arms of Kill the Moonlight to the one of Amazing Grace), as I must disappear into the night. Actually, I'm going to bang on some pots and pans with Dean and call it music. Have good night. |

I love this band but have never been able to see them live. I have a recording with them playing "rocket USA" with the dudes from Suicide, pretty freaky shit.
I haven't been keeping up with the band lately, but apparently they were a "drug" band, like they did lots of drugs and druggies liked their music a lot, (cross topic), but apparently Jason quit the drugs???
I don't know... anyway, yeah, I love this band. My favorite song "come right down and do it all over again"
I'm sure they're great live |

9I don't think you need to he high in order to appreciate Spititualized. I like them pretty much, and I almost live like a priest.
Everything is new. |

No, you need to visit the thread about the scientific discovery of "clouds and mountains!!!".

Ladies and Gentlemen... is an amazing record sonically. The mixes are absolutely amazing the way they cram so many different ideas into one song without it sounding muddy. The lyrics and songwriting could be a bit more interesting, but still a very enjoyable record. And I don't even smoke pot!
