There seems to be a variety of introductory threads on display at the moment: but, does anyone actually remember their own first post?
I think mine was something fairly inauspicious like, how do I contact FB. Its quite a common one. I can imagine none of you realising at the time what a huge proportion of your life you'd spend attempting to ignore my inane bantering. Fnar fnar.
We'll assume the moderators were sending telepathic messages, long before Al Gore invented the internet, right?

i couldn't remember what mine was.... so i went and had a look. i had been lurking, like many do, since early 2003 i think, but i didn't bother to sign up until april. anyway, my first post was about frank black dreams. i hadn't had one then, but i have now. he gave me some journals of his to publish. i think a friend of mine had just bought the kurt journals, so, you know....

I might be wrong, but I believe that my first post on this forum was after I saw Frank perform solo acoustic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Man, that post has some funny stuff about a douchebag radio DJ interviewing him in the middle of the show and basically pestering Frank about a possible Pixies reunion (which seemed futile at the time). I must attempt to retrieve that post.
Edit - Can't find my first post. Do posts made about one year ago (end of March) no longer exist?

I believe it all started with a post asking something like, "What Frank Black album should I buy next?" About a week after that, I got his self titled, and have been collecting since. I almost didn't post a second time because my post was moved from Frank Black chat to the General Forum. Glad I stuck around.

They are archived. Which means they still exist but are much harder to find. I did a search on Google for something Frank related and found some archive posts from the forum. You could try that.

| I was depressed about not getting tickets to the Brixton show and posted about my disgust with eBay, in the wrong forum. Well it was my first post on any kind of forum ever. Since then I've read of the added Brixton and Zenith shows on here and life is looking good again! |

Mine was "When Do Pixies Tickets Go On Sale?" There were only 200 of those topics at the time. I didn't even know I was making a topic...frankly, I didn't know what was going on. But someone responded nicely, saying "This site will be the first to know". Thank you for your patience.

I started a thread called "Why So Grumpy Frank?" because I had just seen him play Northampton, MA in 2002 and he was grumpy. Some people agreed with me that he needed to lighten up, but most people came to his defense. I saw him play solo acoustic in 2003 and he was very cheerful so I guess he took my post to heart ;]

I'd just bought the so called remastered Pixies albums from Cd Universe and after listening to them realised I was being duped by a hard ass American company - hey what's new!!!
Anyway, you lovely Fb people put me right (I think Jo was the first to reply). I pointed Cd Universe here and they gave me my money back. Not sure if they ever paid a visit. Interestingly they are still selling the cds as remastered versions. Presumably people are buying them under the mistaken premise that they are super duper shiny new discs. Amazon et al make no reference to remastering. I'd know who to contact in this country. Is there a watchdog type thing in the US?
So, there you have it. A worthwhile first post from me, a non geek 6.50 poser. Of course it all started to go downhill when I started a thread about favourite cheeses.

Mine was probably a reply to one of the generic song discussion threads (song interpretations, favorite FB/Pixies songs, "What do you think of this song?", etc.). I didn't really post much at all until I took over the Survivor threads, and I rarely even looked at the General Chat section until even later than that.
