I would just like to confirm the sighting of Pixies mania in full flow!!!
I was at The Libertines gig last night in Manchester and they played 10 Pixies songs in a row before they came on. The crowd were fucking mental. I didn't want The Libertines to come on in the end, I just wanted them to continue playing Pixies all night!!! 
This reunion has really sparked off a resurgance in their music, they also played them before Ash came on in Preston last Friday. I never used to hear them that much before the reunion, except for in my bedroom!!!
Anyone else noticed Pixies mania???

| I was at the Placebo gig at Brixton last night and they closed with a marvelous rendition of Where Is My Mind. The whole crowd were singing along to it and then Brian Molko kicked away his microphone for the last couple of minutes and the whole crowd kept bellowing out the refrain, fantastic!!!!! Just think it is going to be the real thing at the same venue in June. |

It was funny when the record stores opened on TICKET DAY they were all playing Pixies.
Besides that...there's a 100+ message thread on our local message board about the Pixies, and not one insult has been posted...i don't think there's ever been a thread that long without someone calling someone a homo or something. (Metalheads frequent it...haha..)

| Hmm...I just remembered, when I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers back in September, they played a few songs off Doolittle before they came on. I didn't realize the omen until now. |
