It seems too many people are freaking out over not getting tickets to the warmup gigs. I don't mean to sound condescending, since I got the tickets I wanted, but it's not the end of the world.
- There is a real tour coming up, and it will probably come to all the large metropolitan areas. - This is a WARMUP tour. The band will be tighter for the big tour, and objectively, those shows will almost certainly be better, from the playing to the sound installation. - The fact that very few people got tickets is the POINT. They didn't WANT everyone coming to this as the official tour. I understand the fact that many of you are huge fans, but the demand was far, far greater than the supply, and you certainly did NOT miss your chance to see them.
So take a deep breath before you sell your car for those Winnipeg tickets. |

How do you know that we didn't miss our chance? Why don't you go away? |

I don't really think "THE PIXIES" are gonna be coming back to western canada anytime soon!
But I got my tickets for Edmonton and Calgary......... so I don't really give a crap!
Personally I like small venues!

I agree with darwin and Amazed, here. What guarantee is there that the Pixies will not break apart again in July and never make it back to a US tour? Or, what if they end up opening for another band like RHCP or whatever? Even if they do headline their own US tour late summer, they are likely to be playing larger venues than these. Finally, what other chance will you have to see the Pixies take the stage for the first time in 12 years?
From someone who has tickets, you are pretty calm about other people not going to the show. Sure, I can say the same thing: Hey, I've got tickets to Winnipeg -- hell, I've even got extras! But everyone else stop freaking out! You'll have your chance in 5-7 months!
I agree, there isn't room for everybody -- but that doesn't mean these concerts aren't historic events. So anyway, depending on your car, it might be worth selling after all. |

Aye, there is no promise of anything past the European tour.
I'd agree it's likely, but not assured by any means...

ok with you, guys ! nobody can be sure about what is gonna happen in the next months. personally, I consider myself very lucky to have tickets for Paris gigs, but I've been stressed wondering if I'd succeed in getting them, cos buying tickets on internet was difficult because of too many demands ... I 've really believed it when I've touched my tickets with my fingers ! But being able to see Pixies for their 1st gigs after all these years would have been incredible .... I think I can understand what can feel north american people who have not been able to get tickets for these warm up concerts ... good luck every one for the coming soon tours

i feel excited for people that got tickets to all the gigs
i messed up and had a ticket reserved for winipeg, but my credit card was 3 dollars short
that is my fault, so i went on a got a ticket to saskatoon which everyone could have done
i dont feel bad for anyone if you were right online with a credit card that worked you would have gotten a ticket to anything you wanted

Nope. Many people were right there online with their credit card and didn't get Davis tickets. And, having a wife, family, and a job made flying to Saskatoon not an option. |

Yeah, Ticketmaster definitely did not reward me for my promptness and efficiency when it came to Winnipeg and Vancouver. Calgary seemed suspiciously easy in comparison, but I think it's all just luck. |
