I'm guessing somewhere here in Burbank. There are several practice studios around and FB has recorded here in the past.

As you know floop, that's life in this nutty town. I was bummed a couple years ago when I found out The Damned recorded "Grave Disorder" here. I found some pictures at their web site of them hanging around Burbank (including one in front of "New Wave Entertainment" across the street from Ribs USA). My idol Captain Sensible was in my town for a few weeks and I didn't run into him. Probably for the best since I would've been starstruck and acted like a dork.

yeah.. i see "stars" all the time. but i only get starstruck when i see people i'm personally a big fan of. if i saw them eating at Ribs USA i would probalby shit my pants.

did you ever used to go to Uptown Taco? before it became a dumb vegan place (Chauenga and Barham)? Frank was a patron there, and there was a signed 8x10 of him in there.. it was a spiritual experience just going there. very Holy Grail-esque.. not to mention they had excellent excellent carne asada. and a great homemade salsa selection.

R.I.P. Uptown Taco.

Someone better be documenting these rehearsals with a camcorder.

mrgrieves. yeah, living in LA you usually see people here and there all the time. plus, i work in the film industry, so i see "celebrities" pretty often.

just this past week:

i saw Michael Richards at my local coffee shop over the weekend and ran into Forest Whitaker in a bathroom..

both of those were pretty cool because i'm a fan of each. when i saw Forest i was like "holy shit, it's Ghost Dog!" not out loud though.

i did not get ghost dog at all, i mean those 10 minutes of driving around listening to RZA originals, the whole like resetting of a samaruai story to the 'hood just confused me, and made me laugh.

I have no Davis tix (I failed) and two Spaceland tix-- you'll have to fight with my wife over that. Take it from me-- she usually wins. :op

Man, I LOVED "Ghost Dog"!

The idea of samurais in the hood is great. It would not have been so great if this guy was some kind of Dennis Rodman or something... but the actor is just pefect for the role!

Have some wine, please, don't run away.

Ghost Dog was a good movie...
The first time I saw it, my reaction was very lukewarm. But then I viewed it again (for the purpose of writing a paper for a film class) and, looking at it through a deeply analytical lens, the movie is a lot better than I first thought.

I like the way the samurai code is something for Ghost Dog to grasp on to in a lawless, codeless world of crime. It is some semblance of honor amongst criminals, a shimmer of virtue in a world that has no place for it...

Jim Jarmusch flicks tend to be a little slooooow, however. So I can see why some people might be put off
