PIXIES FULL OF EASTERN PROMISE!
PIXIES have revealed they will be playing new material on their forthcoming reunion tour.
The band play their first live shows in 12 years this spring, kicking off in Winnipeg on April 14. The jaunt includes an extensive trawl round the summer European festivals, a couple of dates supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a four-night, sold-out residency at London Brixton Academy.
A statement on the band's new website pixiesmusic.com states: "The Pixies have rehearsed and they will rehearse again in March in a secret location in Los Angeles.
"Yes, they have decided which tunes they are doing. For the most part, they'll be doing Pixies ' tunes. As for new songs, there's a Latvian lullaby, a Czech dirge and a Bulgarian ballad."

They just blatantly stole it from Pitchfork, who got it all wrong in the first place. And yeah, that "Latvian lullaby, Czech dirge..." etc was taken directly from here.

Here's the latest in our Official Word™ series:

This just in!!
I have heard from a close and reliable source of our gallant hero, Frank Black, that this is the Official Word™ on the Pixies reunion:
"Finally, as for the latest rumor (#398) that the Pixies are going to reunite for a tour (as mentioned by FB on London's Xfm radio)... here's the lowdown from the inside : The Pixies will get together later this year to record a new double album of Latvian children's lullabies, after which they will tour each and every country whose name begins with the letters Cz."
So there you have it!
In other news, there seems to be at least one person who thinks Frank died of a heart attack a few days ago. This is not true. It was over a month ago now.
Finally, if you look to the right, you will see that Frank and the gang will be rawkin' out in the UK and other trendy Euro locales in the upcoming months, enjoy you lucky blokes and blokettes!

I get the distinct impression that neither NME nor Pitchfork are big fans of ours or they just don't visit here. Oh well.
We posted stuff about the upcoming tour that NME picked up right away and didn't credit us with, and Pitchfork waited a week before printing it and referencing someone else.
In the end, as long as all our members know we're here to give you the latest info and directly from the horse's (pig's?) mouth, I guess that's good enough for me.
