Okay, I can't find the original itunes thread, not even sure which forum it was in and the search function is buggered, i think...
*FINALLY* got the 4 iTune tracks and I have to say, it was well worth the 3 months it has taken to find them! lol! fantastic! listening to them now! don't clip your wings is fantastic lyrically, and very catchy... i would have preferred to see these 4 tracks on the actual album, but not sure how well they would have fitted on... which is probably why they didn't make it...

Great songs indeed. DCYW is awesome, ADDY sounds like a (good) Tom Waits song and SMYT is incredibly catchy. It took me some time to really enjoy 'Preacher's Daughter', but it's my fave now. I wonder why Frank decided to cut these tracks. I think most of them - especially PD - would have perfectly fitted on the LP.

Anyone notice an error in the recording of Don't Clip Your Wings? Kinda sounds like something shifts more to one channel..

Yes iTunes... it's all well and good that these 4 fb+c gems are "exclusive to itunes and not available in stores" but I still cannot understand why they are only available to USA people at the exclusion of everyone else?? putting all the legal bs aside, it continues to be absolutely infuriating! ever since records were invented in 1877 or whenever it was, recordings have been available to ANYBODY who had the inclination or desire to listen to them.. fast fwd to 2004: let us marvel at the new improved system of distributing music... and the verdict? iTunes is a dud.

well, as a last resort, if you're not in the US, you can find them on 'Soulseek'
i don't think we're doing much wrong downloading them, as it's our only way of getting them at the moment, and we *did* discuss every other possible alternative and didn't really find any that were feasible... anyway, i'm a completist so i'll buy them if they're ever released on cd...

The issue is with international licensing and copyright, not deficient technology. This is what happens when territorial copy rights meet the internet.
iTunes is not a dud by any reasonable measure of success. |

Yeah, I'd buy them too. It's so fucking annoying that my fav band has 4 'new' songs that I could be listening to, but I can't 'cos I'm in the UK.

This reminds me of a certain album that we in the U.S. are still waiting for but the Europeans already have. I guess the tables have turned.
Was this THE Larry Norman who was posting in this thread?
