Have you guys seen or heard of this?? It's a reality show like The Bachelor but it's for midgets! This guy has to choose between all these midget ladies but then later in the show they enter other gals of regular stature (models!) into the competition. How exploitive is this? I hope he picks a midget gal instead of one of the models put there just to make them look ridiculous.

How is it wrong?> would it not be more wrong to not allow these people to have a tv show like this? I mean people of 'normal' stature can have a show, so i see no reason why they can not. I think it would be more discrimitive to not have this show on television.

I see what you're saying Gypsy. I think all of these shows are morally corrupt but you just know that entering the tall women out of the blue is cruel. It isn't reality because real girls don't look like that and it's just laughing at the situation. That's why I hope he picks a fellow midget. Not because he shouldn't get with a tall woman but because those tall girls were paid off. They knew their purpose and that's really wrong. He would be screwing himself if he picked one of those distractions.

yeah, I totally agree.
I was recently doing some research on the photographer Diana Arbus (sp?). she got in to a lot of trouble about taking photos of minority groups such as dwarfs.
She did a photo on of a dwarf guy half naked in bed. There was a lot of controversy saying she was exploiting him, but then she took a photo of a beautiful woman in the same positon in bed, half naked. no one said anything.

yeah, I don't think you should remove midgets or anyone from any particular setting. that would be worse than anything else. We're actually studying The Family Guy in one of my classes and most of us feel it is fair and not insulting at all. The reason is because everyone is a target. Everyone. And the stereotypes depicted are satirical which immediately eases the blow. But you see my problem with this, don't you? The show isn't on to be fair to midgets; it's on because everyone gets amusement from midgets.

But yeah, i can see where youre coming from, i just elt i had to make that point as well.
And i think the world has gone a little PC mad though. I mean, im not in the slightest prejudice, im really not (with my upbringin youd find it hard to be!), but i still get a giggle from midgets. but not the to the extent where i would stare or laugh if i saw them in the street. If that made any sense? im quite tired. it probably didnt.

Oh, your point was well recieved. and fuck PC. I hate political correctness . . . but this is about decency. I'm not going to be kept awake over this but the midgets are being decieved and that's not right. Like if Triumph made fun of a midget to his face it would be hilarious but the midgets on this show have been led to believe that everything is on the up and up and I don't think it is.

I'm getting sick of these reality shows. Did you see the preview for that one show...the Straight...something. There's a mix of straight and gay guys hitting on this girl. If she guesses correctly that the guy is straight, she wins...if not, the gay guy gets the money. How fucking retarded.

But isn't it somewhat discriminatory to give midgets their own show, rather than just including them in regular shows of the same sort? To me, it smacks of "separate but equal," which, as we all know, never ends up being equal at all.
