$93.50 after shipping from Waste...yikes. Ticketmaster tends to only add $9 or so after shipping & fees, so I guess I'll take my chances on Saturday.

anazagnos, do you really think they'll sell out fast?
i already got a 2-day pass during the advanced thing, out of paranoia. but the more i think about it, i can do without the Sunday show really (though i'd like to see AIR and Flaming Lips).. and most of my friends are just doing the Saturday show, so I may try to get a Saturday pass and sell my 2-day pass.
that'll be more money to spend at Agua Caliente. |

No, I really don't, actually. Everyone else seems to think so. I think they'll sell 2500 really, really fast, and that'll be the Pixies contingent. Then the rest will sell slowly. But I'm just gonna go online and get a 1-day ticket on Saturday and I don't expect to have any trouble. I am curious about what it's like navigating the crowd at an event like this. I ain't watchin' no Pixies set from a mile back. Front and fucking center, whatever it takes. If that means I get there at gate time, get up there, and don't move for the rest of the day, so be it.

that's what i'm thinking i'm going to have to do too. for the popular acts, people usually stay in front and stake out space early.. i'm sure it's going to be hell, but i'm pretty good at pushing my way up front.
the only real issues i see contending with are a.) alcohol (it would be nice to have a steady flow of beers, but i'm certainly not losing my place in such a huge crowd, and b.) urination (part of a. but this can theoritecally be remedied by simple public urination on the ground, or, if you're really dedicated, a urine bag http://www.llmedico.com/urine-bag-holders/ ) |

since the 2day passes are actually 2 tickets (one for each day) you won't need to do anything more than sell your sunday ticket

changed my mind. Not buying tickets today. Might do it in a few weeks if they're still available, but if not I'll wait for more West Coast dates later in the year. And if that doesn't happen, then I just won't see the Pixies, and I'll live with it.
Paying $92 for a show - it just isn't me, you know? And, it turns out they're almost exactly the same price on TM.com as the Radiohead deal. |

I bent over for the 92 dollar ticket. It hurt, but it'll pass. Plus there seem to be some other cool bands too. I wish the flaming lips played on the Pixies night.
