Hi everybody,

Some french dates will probably be announced in the following days (I mean real Pixies shows not support acts for RHCP).
I hope we will avoid a mess similar to the Brixton shows ...
My idea would be that if a french member has a possibility to buy tickets he buys more than 1 ticket. Say you want to go to the concert with your girlfriend, buy 5 tickets instead of two.
This way we could have spare tickets we could then share among us, members of frankblack.net.

Some links where the tickets might first go on sale :
http://www.fnac.com/Spectacles
http://www.ticketnet.fr
http://www.francebillet.com

And the 1st member who manages to get tickets quickly posts here so that we all can buy our tickets !

-Pierre

Pierre,

I'm often looking those websites, as i can be connected to Internet on Monday and Tuesday.
I don't think we have to worry for tickets. The RHCP gig is still not sold out, brian wilson gig is still not sold out, FB went sold out at the Bataclan some days before the show.
In our beloved country, we don't like music that much! maybe for obispo, Goldmnan or johnny, or M (wich is a cool guy) you have to be careful.
The only thing we could fear is those damn english pixies fans coming to Paris and buying all our tickets!

But you can count on me to anounce or even e-mail french fans on FB.net if have any information.

Remi,

I don't know if you managed to get a ticket for the Frank Black Batofar solo show last year, but it was quite difficult.
The Pixies reunion is mentionned everywhere on the net and also on radio (OUI FM) and I believe that tickets could sell very quickly.
Hope I am wrong !!!!
Are we so different ?
I don't see how Brixton tickets could disappear in 10 minutes and Paris tickets be available for days and days ...
Anyway, if I manage to buy tickets I will buy 3 or 4, and even if all french members have their tickets it will always be possible to sell them just before the show !
Or may be some english members would be delighted to come to Paris !!!

-Pierre

I managed to have one ticket for the batofar, cos' i arrived 3 hours before the show, and when i saw the queue, it did not regret it!
It really depends on the venue: Batofar 300 people; Bataclan 2000? I think the Pixies deserve Le Zenith or 2 nights at L'Olympia.
Don't be afraid, as soon as I know, I have my tickets for me and my friends (5 or 6 people).

Found this with Google, announcing a date at Le Zenith (O8 juin)

http://www.i-muzzik.net/home1024.php3?rub=24&numgroupe=258

i've e-mailed someone there to ask if they hadn't read it here!

Plus: it's possible to buy 40 tickets at the same time at francebillet.fr (I tried for the RHCP venue that is NOT sold out). Frightening!!

Hey French folks - if anyone has a plan to buy a bunch of non-RHCP show tickets, I would like to get in on it. Email me: oreficematt@hotmail.com if anyone's interested. I'm an American Peace Corps Volunteer living in the Balkans, but my French is (or was at least) pretty good . . . I lived in Rennes. Anyway, thanks for the above links, if nobody's interested, I will try and fend for myself....

I will try to get tickets for Le Zenith as well, but since I don't know any french, the check-out process might be tricky

sorry in french...

Hello French people.

I'm stuck up in the freezing north and am desperate to get on a cheap flight to Paris and see the pixies at Le Zenith. If the gig is confirmed can somebody please send me an e-mail so I can get online and book a couple of tickets.

A plus,

Bonjour you French Pixies!
I would also love it if one of you guys e mailed with any tickets for sale for the Paris shows (any date, any show). I couldn't get into Brixton,London and now I'm thinking about flying out to Coachella ( which my finance won't allow, but might do it anyway!!)
Any help is much appreciated.I will be coming from the UK and i promise not to get drunk and beat up the locals(English style)
Merci

Salut les frenchies !
Je vais continuer en anglais parce qu'à mon avis, c'est plus fastoche pour nos collègues

I think if they play in Le Zénith, it'll be no problem to have tickets.
You have to know that the shops like La Fnac, Virgin or France Billet buy a lot of tickets and sold it after.
When the Breeders played in le Zénith i bought my ticket at la fnac very later, and it was very easy to have tickets. And as you know, the Breeders was very famous at this time.
I saw also Garbage two times in le Zénith and there was no problem at all.
And to be honest, Pixies is not as famous as Garbage or The Breeders.
Le Zénith is a quite big place, big enough for the Pixies i think.

So i'm not worried at all, but i'll be ready on the 23rd of feb at 9h00, for sure !

I agree wiz you Shape.
I went to the Strokes+Kings Of Leon+Ben Kweller and the zenith was just 75% full.
Sound was Ok but if you want to see something you must be in the front or seated.

which french band could support Pixies in Paris?

saw new order in le zenith, went with a load of brits, awesome weekend.
looking to go with a lot of mates this time again.

got ours from fnac last time, fairly easy to get hold of (similar circumstances with the uk tour selling out in an instant, & them playing in ireland supporting the RHCP)

this is why events unerve me

Thanks for the updates everybody.

Good luck on Monday morning to those who dare. I wouldn't be at all confident that they won't sell out quickly. Remember, there could be literally thousands of Brits looking to chunnel over. The Strokes/Garbage are fine and all but this gig is so much more important to so many of us.

So I'm clicking around the francebillet.com site, and it appears you need to create an account durring the order process. It would probably be advisable to have the account created before the tickets go on sale. So go here:

https://secure.francebillet.com/moncompte.jsp

And create an account. However, the form does not seem to ask to what country the tickets should be sent. Does this site accept international orders?

I've been assured by customer service of francebillet.com that they do ship internationally -- you need to select "Envoi Etrange" on the checkout page. I suppose you're supposed to cram your city, region, and country information into the "Ville" field.

nimrod_fr: You can use forum code to prevent that link from making this thread very wide. Change your link to:

[ url="http://search.fnac.com/...."]Click Here[/url]

(note you have to remove the space after the [ to make it work).

Are all these ticket sites basically the same? Is any one preferred over the other?

francebillet and la fnac are part of the same network. I think ticketnet is different but i'm not sure.
Anyway do you know if la fnac has got different stocks for the internet and their stores ? i got a store near my office and i prefer seeing my tickets in my hands...

YES La Fnac open at 10.
At least in Paris, but in other regions, it can be later.
But the tickets won't be gone in one hour.
I'm sure in the evening, after work, you can have some.

Seems we are neighbors - I live in Strasbourg. I must say I'd be very surprised if the Pixies decided to play here. One thing is sure, if they do they won't play at La Laiterie, which is a small venue.
That said, persistent rumors say they'll play at the Eurockéennes de Belfort (July 2-4). As you probably know, Belfort is only 200 kms south of Strasbourg.

I wrote to "La Laiterie" last week and they have no plan with the Pixies for now.
You can check their website on http://www.artefact.org.
Also, the closest place from Strasbourg where they will play seems to be the Southside festival in Germany. It's less than 200kms and a bunch of other good groups will play there (David Bowie... as he and Frank are friends, we could expect something...).
http://www.hurricane.de/southsideneu//

Good luck for the tickets,

Jean-Marc
