Wow, I would have visited this thread earlier if I'd known there was all this gratuitous googling going on.

Alright the song was called Jet Boy Jet Girl now,
It's a god-awful small affair To the girl with the mousy hair But her mummy is yelling No And her daddy has told her to go
(easy one I think) |

Beautiful, beautiful song. They use it in the Post commercials here. Or is it mobile phones? Anyway. On we go.
One for our (continental) European friends:
It's a family tradition To play in a football team I have nephews, dumb but tall Who, still fetus, kicked the ball

Merci Yann, but... as for the mystery track? Is it too difficult? Have I killed this great thread? Or can I blame it on the holidays? Oh yeah, let's blame it on the holidays.

Nice try Stitches. It's a band that goes back a long time. They released an album this year, but the song here is from an older one - 1987 I think.

All right, I can see this thread is slowly dying and it's breaking my fucking heart. Holiday season or not, I feel I have to do something about it.
Obviously no one here has ever heard of The Nits? Dutch band. The song was "J.O.S. Days", from In The Dutch Mountains.
In fact, I wanted to use this as an opportunity to ask if anyone knew what "J.O.S." stands for (Jop? any idea?). Bah.
Anyway. To get the ball rolling again (hopefully), here's an easier one:
"What's for dinner? What's for lunch? What's for breakfast? CAPTAIN CRUNCH!!!"
-- 'Great, now you don't have stupid skin on your body…' |

I just can't believe nobody found that one... Violent Femmes - "Mosh Pit", from Freak Magnet.
I am now officially disappointed by you guys.
Okay, to punish you, I'll have to go for something more cryptic:
She said that God in all his glory was reavealed to her carnally She said she'd been with no man but she must have been with me And when I felt her with my finger, the proof burned my belief
This is very possibly one of my favourite songs ever.
