If you say so, although I'm proving the Googlists right! Synchronicity II by the Police.
BTW, Andy Summers (guitar) has become a mildly succesful jazz player.

Nobody knows this? You bunch of losers OK, some clues. 1990's British hard rock band, famous for trashing offices, heavy drinking and splitting up a whole bunch of times. And red hair.

Doesn't look like you're gonna get it... 29 Times The Pain. Classic tune.
My turn again then: "Billy ran around with a rare old crew, he knew an Arsenal from a Tottenham blue."
Bonus points to any Americans that can tell me what this means!

Aah, you all suck. 'Billy Bones' by the Pogues.

Sounds like it could be EMF from the early 90's? Song was called Unbelievable.
Too obvious again?
(Bloody hated it)

I thought too obvious, but seeing as none of you got the really easy one previously, I thought I'd gift you one. I think Scarla knew it there, but didn't want to be the one to say it, so I guess Barney is up.

A classic brought to you specially from my vinyl collection.

Nope, you need to go back to 1980.

Er... Canadian band from 1980, nice line in hippy-dippy lyrics, currently found in Richard's vinyl collection. Who's Canadian and that old? Bryan Adams? Neil Young? The wolf in Due South?

That got a laugh out of me!!
You would not believe what is lurking in my vinyl collection.
The band in question, (band, not singer song writer) goes back to about 1974 I think and are still performing today. The lyric comes from one of their biggest hits. Pretty sure it hit the top 20.
Their drummer is world renowned and apparently one of the best out there. He also writes most of their lyrics which is unusual.

Right, top drummers. Phil Collins = Genesis (not right, I know) The bizarre gardening accident one from Toto? Ginger Baker. no... John Bonham? no...
No, still stuck. Also have some superb choices in my own vinyls: Fleetwood Mac's Rumours anyone? Top prize for being horrendously wrong.

If that is Rush, you have every right to be embarrassed about having that in your collection.

He does sound like he's wearing tight trousers, I'll grant you that. Particularly on their early albums.
I am not embarrassed to say that I like their mid period, i.e 78-84. Some very good stuff in there.
