| Does anyone know what kind of guitar that red one is that BF sometimes plays? Man, I like the sound of that thing. It seems just a little harsher or something. |

| The Gibson SG? He does seem to change them dependant on mood rather than be consistent with certain guitars for certain songs. |

Yeah, some songs are on an acoustic or electric too
The difference is huge of course
To be honest the SG sounds huge but it overshadows Joey sometimes
This show is an amazing watch
Paz is so happy, I guess because they are playing in Argentina
They even single her out while taking the last bow
Love it
So much love from a huge crowd

The show sounds brilliant. I can't wait to see them again next year.
The red guitar is an SG Junior. The P90 pickup has a higher output than his Teles, so a brasher sound.
As others have said, he isn't particularly consistent with the songs it's played on. First appeared in the 2013 shows, when he also had another SG in the mix early on.
My own take is it only 'overshadows' Joey when we're getting a rather unequal mix recorded for TV etc. Have heard plenty of recordings where it's the other way round too!
The 50s blackguard Tele is the mainstay. Is that the one BF's brother presented him with early in the reunion?
He stuck consistently to the vintage white/white pickguard Tele throughout 2004 - a model that only makes occasional appearances now (generally brought out for the capoed electric songs like Velouria or Havalina).
All in all, far less guitar swapping than towards the end of the initial run! The Brixton 1991 concert is quite something!

| In the middle of this now, it's a fantastic show and an incredibly mixed recording too. I have noticed a lot of fuckups though! Dave lagging on the drums at random times, wrong chords, etc, etc. But I mean it's such a rocking, fun show I don't think anyone cares. The intro for The Lord Has Come Back Today...woops! Not to harp on the negative. This is a great show and everyone seems in high spirits and the crowd is loving it. |
