These have been pretty sick I gotta say.

All of BTE, and some nice appearances by Bossa Trompe. You always want more but you take what you can get.

Saw that Silver Snail crawled out from its frock on the 23rd. I would love that to be the only encore song one night. Leave everybody in a slimy dreamy daze.

Gutted to miss Blown Away & Um Chagga Lagga but yeah, they've covered a lot of bases. Only the first leg too, I guess we can count on festivals next summer but I'm hoping for a second lap of indoor gigs and the opportunity for them to mix it up even more.

Performances have been fierce too, Charles is just nailing the vocals.

I'm liking them opening with Cecilia Ann for the last 4 or 5 shows!

Yeah I love when they open with a nice loose instrumental jam. Maybe Velvety could miraculously reappear

I'd expect it as an opener at some point - they played it during the early HC shows.

I agree these sets are strong; tho, I'd trade Havalina for something off of Trompe, say, Sad Punk.

Absolutely shocked by that statement.

I'm all in favour of more Trompe but they're playing nearly all of Doolittle - switch a bit of that out, not the Bossa stuff.

The setlists look exhausting too, to perform I mean.

Imagine having played and sung 38 Pixies songs and then having to be like, "all right, now for number 39, Debaser, with full energy, full volume, etc."

Unreal

i'm also surprised that they went from about 90 minutes - which i assume was about their normal set length for years - to about two hours on this tour.
i'm excited about witnessing this soon, though. (seems exhausting for the audience, too. for me, at least.)

They're about 4-5 songs longer than the ICX or HC tours. I think the the 90 minute sets have mainly been festivals or themed shows.

That’s really nice of them to pack it in like that. They don’t get to the Czech Republic that often I’m assuming, so give ‘em a big dose

vorst nationaal setlist (16 october): https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/pixies/2019/vorst-nationaal-forest-national-vorst-forest-belgium-139d91e9.html

39 songs, no encore.

they opened with cactus, wave of mutilation (uk surf) and all the saints.
i thought that was interesting. not expecting that. (the only song i "knew" was coming was break my body after brick is red.)

they played all of beneath the eyrie, except long rider.
nothing from head carrier, except all the saints.
and nothing from indie cindy at all.

it's educational
