| I don't get why they persist with this no setlist thing, they occasionally cut a song or drop an extra one in but they clearly have a thought through setlist for every show :/ |

I wouldn't say it's thought through for each show.... They are able to play probably around 40 songs at the drop of a hat, and they play what feels right at the moment, whether it's based on the room or audience or just their own whims at the moment. They aren't "persisting" to make some sort of anti-setlist statement, they are just doing what feels right for them. And I can't fault them for that at all.

Well, all these interviews have been horrible up to this point. I'm starting to miss the days when they would ask about Pixies' influence on Nirvana.
Can someone do a proper interview with the band/Charles or is there nothing left to ask?
It's nice that there is no prior 'narrative' to this album. It's not a concept album about a dutch rock musician or about a mythological creature. It's not the reunion album. It's not the reunion album with a new bassist. That should open the opportunity for good interviews that don't rely too much on a script, no? |

I guess it will be all "what's your writing process ?" because of the podcast about the studio sessions.
("What's your writing process" being one of the worst questions after the Cobain or Deal questions)
