(This is my second attempt, first one got lost in cyberspace when I tried to post)
I know this is a day late (Thanksgiving was yesterday in the states, today is (Frank) Black Friday). What are some things you are thankful for in relation to Frank? Here are a few of mine:
1) The Pixies were my soundtrack through most of high school so I didn't have to listen to Guns n Roses or whatever else people were into
2) . His music is a reliable constant, I can always put on a Frank album when nothing else is doing it for me
3) He has never seemed to care what people think about him which is great. I especially am thankful for the interviews where he seems bored or annoyed. Those always make me laugh.
4) He inspired me to pick up a guitar and start strumming. Most of the songs I bothered to learn were Frank songs. It's great to be able to play his music at an open mic night and see how it goes.
5) He inspires me to keep on going even as age settles in. The man is amazingly energetic.
6) Dog in the Sand is pretty much the most beautiful thing I've ever heard
7) Don't Get Me Wrong is pretty much the most beautiful thing I've ever heard
8) Motorway to Roswell is pretty much the most beautiful thing I've ever heard
Anyway, those are some things I'm thankful for in relation to Frank Black.
