Seems like the topic comes up from time to time:

“You’re so pretty when you’re unfaithful to me.”

“You put another one on your plate” from Out of State

And in Atom in My Heart he says something about there being states he can’t even drive through. That always makes me think of deep, deep pain.

Any others come to mind?

"Dark Side of the Street," obviously. I've always understood the album "Honeycomb" as the story of FB's marriage to Jean falling apart and then him falling in love with Violet. Any singer who covers "Dark Side of the Street" seems to be confessing to a real-life affair.
