It really IS the glory days, the imperial Frank Black as we've been calling him.

You hear how he riffs on his vocals in these songs? He's having so much fun. I really believe that's the real Frank up there.

Yeah the last 10 years or so he didn't seem to be having much fun performing live. Phoning it in the odd time. Those days he was on fire. I used to have some acoustic radio sessions on my laptop years ago and he was having the time of his life. Shouting out "THE RAMONES!" at the end of Ramona and substituting random fruit for curse words in Brackish Boy. A different time.

Was it a recording for a radio station and they happened to have a camera there too? At least that's my guess, but the little talk of videos on a screen at the end confuses me. Fantastic performance nonetheless!
