Maybe this has been posted before, sorry, but I just came across it per chance on youtube. Old school show that has incredible sound...called Ed is Dead. Man that image is brutal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9BJNXembc8 |

Wait a second...did this guy just put together the best or loudest live recordings of certain songs and put them all together on this? If so, ok, I was duped and feel like an idiot now. |

also mentioned here: http://aleceiffel.free.fr/boots.html#gone
quote: Where and when: Los Angeles, december 22, 1991 Length: 48:42 (18 songs) Sound: A/A+ (FM broadcast) A Trompe Le Monde era live boot.
The sound is really excellent, and the concert has something special: keyboards, played by Eric Drew Feldman. This gives some very interesting interpretations, more especially for Gouge Away. The track listing is quite complementary to that of Subbacultcha, another interesting boot from the same period.
it's educational |

Agree. Favourite "era" too. Every show from 91-92 I've heard so far is great. Feldman, loudest screams, UFOs, great songs (Trompe, Happening, Memphis, Bird Dream, Palace, etc...).
How strange they did their best shows while the band was imploding.

I would think this would be a great time to bring EDF back into the line up. Since they are a touring band pretty much he could really add some jam potential.
And picpic I think your point about their best shows happening during their implosion is spot on and actually makes perfect sense. All the behind the scenes stuff came out in the show. Maybe they get along a little too well now? |

Yeah, I like the pissed-off-looking version of Black. Dont’t ask me why.

Here's a copy of a different iteration of the show you posted: https://mega.nz/#F!9ohizBwJ!K1M-s95avhgb3c9Ogjsv0g the date on the download is for the night before, but I actually think it's just a different version of the same night. Lots of different tracks broadcast on this "other" version. For some reason, I couldn't find a copy immediately of the recording you posted. I know I'll have it...somewhere.

Agreed. For Pixies I like him angry rather than annoyed

Yes, thanks Benji! It's like you have an "S" on your chest every time one of us asks for help in finding a show or song.
Do you want to start your own YouTube channel or something? How can we help support your efforts?

Support? Nah, man. I do it for the love. I do have a youtube account which has a bit of stuff floating round, but I'm just in the lucky position to have acquired a lot over many years and enjoy sharing that stuff with other people who don't have it.
..i'm just annoyed I can't find the "Gone To Heaven" bootleg as I know I've got the damn thing!
