Thanks Better video and audio than Lisbon, but the setlist seems a little bit less "tight" Classic Masher a bit too fast, Greens and Blues too slow, endings of Head Carrier and Tame a bit loose, great succession of Rock Music, Baal's Back and Tame

They were really tired at this point I would say.
Maybe today @Dour Festival will be better. They just had a day off.

That's the best version of UCL I've heard. There's a real sweaty desperation to it, a lot more throat.
Also the IC songs are so much better live. Wish they could record them again now that they know them better. Or maybe just reconstruct it with live performances. |

Indie Cindy works so much better with the verses in this angrier, snarling style before going into the softer chorus parts.. |

I just can't get into Indie Cindy anymore.... It feels like it goes on for too long, I get tired of it. I'd rather they swap it out with another track from the IC album, like What Goes Boom or something like Ring the Bell or Jamie Bravo (both of which I think have never been performed live?) Those last two have a more upbeat vibe to them that I think would go well played along side say something like Classic Masher. |

Jaime Bravo is great. And also too long. Like many songs on Indie. Indie (the song) is too long, too, and does not work well live on choruses. The rest is neat. But choruses don't work. Paz/Frank voices are never in tune and it's quite painful to listen to (sorry!). And Joey messes up the 3 (!) notes he does with his volume pedal on choruses every time, too . This guy will never cease to amaze me. He can totally rock on some songs, and at the same time he'll fail to play 3 simple notes on others.

Exact same feeling, always baffled by the live renditions of IC choruses : out of tune and painful :) Studio version superior for once (except tempo!)
One minute shorter would have been perfect for Jaime Bravo

Makes me wonder if the band are happy with how Indy Cindy sounds live. |

Indie Cindy was finished for me when somebody (on this forum I think) pointed out the opening bars sound like Oasis. But still love Ring the Bell. |

I always thought that was a joke. The opening 8 bars or so sound like standard rock, then it just takes a crazy turn... |

I like Indie Cindy. Except live choruses & didn't needed second bridge & long outro to be a great song.
I like the lyrics, too (Burgmeister of purgatory, Sir Naff, washed-up crawl...). English is not my language. So I probably miss their true meaning. But I like it. Maybe it's just a matter of how the words sounds inside the song.

Besides What Goes Boom & Blue Eyed Hexe I don't recall much of Indy Cindy. I guess I liked Snakes and part of another song early in the record. I'm avoiding the new tunes till the next album comes out. Oh, Bagboy's all right, just don't really have the urge to listen to this album very often. |

The Phantom Menace grew on me, especially with edits and what not, so same with IC. Bagboy into Women of War sounds really good. Would love to hear Women live |
