I was at the show and it was terrific. They were spot on and they played six tracks off of Indie Cindy (What Goes Boom, I. Cindy, Bagboy, Magdelena, Greens And Blues, and Silver Snail). What was most surprising for me is that for the encore, the first track they played coming back was Silver Snail which fit so well, and played so elegantly...I don't know or remember a setlist or encore where their first song coming back was a song off Indie Cindy. Really good to see them play half of their new record...
The one thing about the show is that Joey's Vamos guitar solo was cut really short, mostly because he seemed annoyed or something was bothering him...at the end of the show (pre-encore) I could sort of read Joey's lips in which he said "so many fuck ups, I just wanna go home, just wanna go home". And because of his shortened solo, we got a longer encore. (Silver Snail, Ed Is Dead, Holiday Song and Planet of Sound)
In anycase, a tremendous show. |
