I was there. Boy, what an awesome show, it was actually my first time seeing them live, after I lost my chance in 2010. The band sounded great and the crowd loved every minute of it, shown by the friendly mini-moshpits in the Teatro hahaha. My favourite part was the 1-2-3 punch of Ana, Velouria and Havalina. 3 Bossanova tracks in a row, that was really cool.
I also got to meet Francis way early while he was exiting the hotel. He signed my Trompe Le Monde booklet and we talked a bit of spanish. Overall, probably one of the best experiences I had in my life.
Here are the songs they played. The setlist is not in order, except for the first two songs and the encore:

I was there too. It was my third time with the Pixies, plus a FB&theC's gig in Chicago, 2002. Obviously I cannot compare with the first time, in Curitiba/Brazil, 2004. It was a week before the Coachella gig, and it was absolutely cathartic at the time [it always is, in a way]. I think of the 2004 show as my Beatlemania moment! The crowd in Montevideo was enthusiastic, but not insane as they are in Argentina [in 2010 I thought I would have a rib broken]. The lovely Teatro de Verano is one of the most charming places I've been to. For me, they are playing better than ever. Joey has a devil inside him! his performance blew me away the whole time. Francis seemed very relaxed and enjoying the whole thing. Never seen him walking around the stage so much, and interacting with Joey and David. The songs were flowing perfectly, I think they were all a bit dirtier than usual, in a really good way. I remember that in Buenos Aires, in 2010, I had the opposite impression, that they were slightly mellow at that time. Or maybe they were not so enthusiastic about the whole thing of touring the same material. As for the new songs, they fitted in really nice. They are absolute Pixies songs, maybe a bit more complex than their back catalogue, in some cases. Bagboy is a weird beauty, Magdalena is a really well-crafted pop song, and Blue Eyed Hexe might be one of my favorites. Those two last songs always remind me of Bluefinger [for me, the 'lost' Pixies album], they vould fit in there. And for Paz, she's truly great. She rocks and I think that she's pushing Dave forward [he said that in an interview]. Their backbeat on the songs is too good. You can see them very close to each other all the time. She's a great presence on stage, and also very charming. Her worn-out Precision bass is great, too. It was nice to see the 3 guys asking the crowd to applause her at the end - specially Joey. I do hope to se her around the Pixies for more time. Also, they did a small silent-comedy thing at the end that was surprising: Francis was asking them about doing one more [Paz had left the stage], and Dave was pointing at his hand, as it was hurt, so he couldn't play anymore. Francis touched it, and he pulled it back. They kept trying to convince Dave, but he was pretending he could not, until Joey came and pretended to kiss Dave's wrist, and he was "wow! I feel good now!", when Paz came back to play Debaser. 30 songs and I could see it again like once a week. |

That was so cool, Joey with the healing touch!. The crowd got wild with Debaser, so much that I had to join the madness hahaha.
@Sprite, thanks! It's so weird, but there is something about Trompe's cover that looks so "mesmerizing". So yeah, weirdly enough, it just felt right to pick Trompe Le Monde as the "signature booklet", hahaha.

A friend just told me that Francis went to La Ronda for a drink after the show. |
