| I hope they use this as an opportunity to freshen up the setlists - the 2013 european gigs were including a lot stuff that hadn't been played for ages as well as the new stuff but the 2014 dates seem to have had a lot less variety so far. |

The show I saw last month at the Fox Theater in Oakland (2/21) was the best Pixies show I've seen since Coachella 2004. It was fantastic! The energy was rip-roaring and they whipped out some songs that I never heard them play before.
The band is soooo much better without Kim Deal. I think you'll love the new energy regardless of the setlist, but I heard about 4 old songs that I never heard before. |

| Was at the first 3 shows. Fully seated venue. Crowd was very into it despite that. Band were fantastic. Two minor cock-ups on the first night in HCYM and Rock Music (RM was flawless on night 3 though!). Plenty of variety in the sets, probably 46-47 songs player over the 3 nights by my count. Had a fantastic time, sometimes you forget how good they actually are.... |

Didn't they already played "Ring the Bell" on a few shows during the european tour with Kim S. -and then never played it again- ? Or maybe i'm mixing up with another one ?

I know they played a cover of... -i don't remember the band name-, "spin the record,..." something like that. They played it a few times then abandoned it.
They also abandoned Another Toe, you're right.
And I have a foggy recollection of another song played in 2013 that has also been abandoned... I was thinking that it was "Ring the bell". I could be wrong, though...
