the Russian people stoically say that the US$50+ billion would've been misappropriated anyway. might as well have the olympics with some of it.
some beautiful scenery yesterday at cross-country skiing and biathlon and slopestyle. but doesn't quite balance the ugly sights and stories of the folks that were forced to relocate their homes for some of the venues. |
