me too.
I figured I had just gotten the email too late, as in 25 minutes after. Perhaps there's some other date they actually go on presale?

I received the email exactly 53 minutes before the 10 AM presale began. By the time I saw it and had the presale link it was 9:45 so I had about 15 minutes to spare. I've got all the links in the email, what city are you looking for? I can post it. |

Thanks Bolero, I ended up getting the email shortly after I posted, but I'm sure this is going to be helpful for someone else. Big forum points here!
I'm in for Oakland. May try to pick one up for San Jose on the day of the show or something.

It is an excellent venue, and I'm just really looking forward to seeing them. It's been a long time since Frank's been in town, and since he used to come through about five or six times a year, I'm going through a little bit of withdrawal.

I have a moral apprehension about $80+ tickets for any show. I've held off on all the greatest hits gigs so far, but am seriously considering this one, because of the new material. |

$80? Holy shit
edit: I paid $60 for the Paris gig though, it's not that far.

i really started getting interested in the economics of pricing for events and such. its a little more than simple supply/demand balance. for instance when i want to Roger Daltry he was playing in a 23,000 seat arena but the stage was so close to one end it was maybe a 5 or 6,000 "seat concert bowl" - all the people there were 35+ and for many you could tell it was like one last concert before they stop going to concerts forever or their first concert in 20 years for some of the older folk. at any rate, when i learned the tickets were $150-$300 it all made sense. why play to a half full arena when you can sell to just the few remaining die-hards at those ridiculous prices.....i guess it comes down to venue negotiations as well and how much (per ticket) goes straight to the land or lease holder.....
