Just back so a quick post before off to bed. Overall great gig. Really enjoyed it. Here is a list of songs they defintely played (not in correct order).
Big New Prinz Head On Levitate Me* Velouria Hey Ed is Dead* Another toe in the ocean Indie Cindy Gouge Away What goes boom* Brick is Red I've been tired* River Euphrates* Bagboy Ana Magdalena 318 Havalina Subbacultcha Heaven/Andro Queen Distance equals rate times time* Caribou Green and Blues Where is my mind Planet of sound*
Encore Monkey gone to Heaven* Vamos
*these songs rocked really hard. What goes boom in particular really kicks the bucket. Great lights for that one as well.
What else can I remember?
The good: Nice venue. Never been before. Sound was loud and well balanced where I was. The Gibson really seems to bring an edge to Monkey. Joey did that thing with a drumstick and Iphone on Vamos. New songs sounded great including Another Toe. Bagboy seemed to have the spoken backing vox toned down a lot from where I was and that really worked. Frank really really went for it in the chorus. Nice speed up in Prinz. Reminded me of Stormy Weather. Great vibe on stage plenty of smiles. Band were very tight and look fired up on both old and new tunes. Roadie holding up set list at end for photos. Very cool.
London Crowds: Hate them, hate them, hate them. Who are these people that hoover up tickets instantly but then stand there drinking pints, clearly not knowing any songs except WIMM. I DO NOT understand.......
Fortunately I will rendevouz with the band in Manchester in November. I have higher hopes for the North.
Dont have a smartie phone so no vids, apologies for that but there were plently of people filming so bound to be something up on the web soon.
Man, I'm so jealous of you guys right now that are catching these shows. The positive attitude and energy the band is showing really bodes well for the future of the band.

Maybe you can console yourself with the thought that by the time they head Stateside and to the rest of the world there will be more tunes released and on the set list that we in Europe are not getting to hear yet.

That would make the wait worth it! Thanks for the uplifting thought.
