I'm too old for the backpack travel-y things and i just came back from a trip to FLA that was fun but way too much driving and 3 different hotels wasn't my idea of a vacay. theme parks, thunder and lightning, and eating ate american chain restaurants was total abuse on this old man's body.
Dreams Nueva Vallarta was great last year and prior to that the Grand Sirenis on the other side kicked some serious booty. anybody been to some really casual all-inclusives where the cockroaches don't go and i can drag my baby-momma and our offspring along? looking for a 7-day in December again. wanna do the cancun/riviera maya side this time. preferably a kids stay-free type place with a nice pool. don't think the wee one could handle the ocean quite yet (well her mother couldnt handle her handling the ocean y'know what i'm saying?) so what resorts you guys stay at?

A friend of mine did Mexico, a nice resort, food and drinks included, air fare both ways and stay for a little over a thousand bucks. I don't know how they found this deal but it's doable. They're out there, hope you can find one or someone on here can offer actual help instead of just this. |

When I was a wee kid our family vacations were to a little hotel in the country. One big trip to Dinosaur Park and into Banff. Another to Yellowstone, Badlands, Sourh Dakota, Rushmore [And Wall Drugs, because it's there]. A strange trip through Detroit that almost killed me in Hamilton. Parents were younger then.
Those big hotels in The Rockies would be amazing. I was about 9 when my mom had a meeting at Minaki Lodge in Northern Ontario that turned into a family trip. [Minaki Lodge has sadly burned away.]
