puerto rico pixie already posted this link in another thread, before the news of leaving the band, but i feel like reposting; i wonder if it's Kim saying goodbye to the Pixies... (yea, with the recent torrent of events i must've caught the fact interpretation bug too)
and i can't get enough of this little gem

OK, let's say that's about the Pixies. Listening to the lyrics, she's implying that her departure isn't really voluntary. Hmmmm. |

I think the song is about Kim's mom. She's been deteriorating due to Alzheimer's for a while now =/ |

Apparently this is the song Kim wrote about her mother's Alzheimer's.
Video is by Kurt Ralske (Ultra Vivid Scene) Are You Mine?
If so, I think Likkle More may be about her departure from the Pixies. |

It all comes clear now, I was deaf not to hear the connection with Kurt Ralske Deal's single "Walking With A Killer" had that bass that seems like a rip off from Mercy Seat by Ultra Vivid Scene (God I liked that song)

This song makes me sad as hell. Sorry to hear about her mother having alzheimer's, it's a gutwrenching affliction. |

So maybe she left the Pixies so she would spend time with her mom instead of touring, and not go through what David did, i.e. his father passed and he was not there to say good-bye.
And she is in a working mood, so she is also putting out these singles.
So maybe she will join the Pixies again eventually.
Hmmm?

yeah, i felt silly after hoverin's post about her mom, that's what lack of info does, speculation, so thanks for the interview link, good read. |

Well, I'm glad I made that comment, because I had no idea that interview existed. Information is too strewn all about on the Web and I have better things to do than chase it everywhere. I trust this forum to be my one-stop shop, and it worked beautifully once again. Please read my sig.

Are You Mine makes me real sad as well but maily because Kim's voice starts to sound more and more like all those Cat Power clones... :(
